We need to ask the question, how is this not fascism?

We are rapidly reaching the point that the Founders feared would require a Second Amendment.

I wonder if the folks who sat home because they didn’t want to vote for a Mormon moderate have a clue yet as to how badly they screwed up?

Hopefully somebody is making a list of the banks that are participating in this action, and the bank executives aligned with these policies.

Of course, Bank of America has been the "Bank of Obama" since the 2008 bailout.

Rahm should be reminded that there are RICO laws and sunshine laws that might be inconvenient should we ever get the communists thrown out of the executive branch.

If anything, this tells us how out of control our government is. This is what the founding fathers warned us about, and why they gave us the Second Amendment.
Hopefully, people who aren't normally engaged will feel a little "uneasy" about what this administration is doing to innocent people - who are doing nothing but protecting their Constitutional rights. Because when SOME are denied their Constitutional rights, it won't be long before ALL are denied their Constitutional rights. AND, a defenseless population won't be able to do anything to stop it.

Don’t own a bank, rob one.

Under Obama’s policies, it will soon make more sense to rob banks, since often bank robbers succeed, than to own banks, on which Obama will impose increasingly profit-losing regulations, making it impossible for banks to succeed.

From a practical point of view there are 2 opposing forces at work here and the result may be unintended for Obama.

The 2 opposing forces are, first, Obama's effort to squeeze financial interests (lending and investors) out of the gun market and, second, raging demand for guns and ammo resulting from Obama's attacks on gun ownership.

The most likely result is that the larger gun companies are pressured by big lenders and big investors causing them to divest and splintering the industry into smaller companies.

Small is a great place to be for the gun industry. Yes, more competition, but frankly demand is so incredible that the additional competition won't even be noticed.

Houston, TX:
Moody Bank
Frost Bank

They would be a good replacement for BOA.

They will whine when the gun manufacturers start using foreign banks.

There are a lot of banks in Houston which did not take tarp funds or any other funds from the government and they are pretty flush with cash from the oil business. You haven’t heard of these banks as they are local and they keep a low profile. One of the banks when called by the Feds to take TARP funds actually told the Feds “go to hell”.

Staffed with Texans they would be very happy to entertain any financing arrangements with gun manufacturers. This is Texas and they will listen.

Maybe it’s time for the manufacturers to start using credit unions. They can provide syndicated loans of a reasonable size - not as large as a regional bank - but they’re a heck of a lot more member friendly and they cooperate with other CUs as partners vs enemies.
