It may surprise you to know that this community has existed for more than a century. Like in the Middle East, they exist side by side with christian immigrants from that same part of the world. The difference, of course, is that the christians fled persecution from their Muslim oppressors. Essentially, the current generation of MI muslims, were born and raised in the US of A. Hence, the notification I posted above about the long term vision of Islam, worldwide. Up until now, there were NO complaints about halal foods.
