Those ‘Democrats’, those ‘liberals’, those ‘progressives’ standing up there in that ‘informational meeting’ are EXACTLY like the 1930s Nazis who had ‘informational meetings’ ‘get togethers’ et al to discuss the “Jewish Problem.”
They whine and cry and posture over those dead children in Newtown, yet they steadfastly support the 50 odd million abortions their compatriots have executed these last 40 years since Roe v Wade. In their ideal world of collectivism, they’d don those black shirts and boots and they’d be holding the same pistols they want to take from you so they could blow your brains out and solve their inconvenient problems., and they’d likely use one of the couple billion rounds of ammo Obama’s civilian agencies have amassed to do it.
A bunch of dictatorial intellectualist petty tyrants who are out to convince the weak-minded (but voting) citizen that an AMENDMENT of THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, from the BILL OF RIGHTS no less, is out-dated and no longer valid? A friggin ‘leftist professor’ and some busybody female Democrats who want to do away with our rights just like they’d browbeat good tenants in a local co-op over trash collection and recyclables sorting. The problem, folks, is that these tyrants are everywhere. We are infested with them.
Damn them....damn them all to hell.
This is a good example of how to respond to them. They appeared to be desperately trying to frame the debate in their terms, and the audience felt no need to accept those terms. Good for the audience.
This looks like a perfect opportunity.
Have Baraq and Rhambo deputize these anti-gun folks, and send them into the Chicago ghetto next summer to round up the illegal metal on the street.

Rounding up the ghetto gunners in Chicago, or any other urban area is not in Obama’s playbook. Letting them keep their illegal weapons while taking them away from law abiding Christians is what it is all about. It is the revenge he promised them.

The gun grabbers would retort that this is the United States of America in 2013. Not the USSR in 1950. Not Germany in 1938. "It could never happen here" they say.
Well, lemme see. What is the difference? Why could it never happen here? What is it that they think makes the United States of America in the year 2013 so different from those only two other examples? I can't even speculate.
The bloody Constitution of the United States of America is the correct answer! The very document they would shred if they could...just to make themselves all warm and fuzzy while sipping their Chardonnay.
No other answer is worth a tinker's dam.
