I’ve never shot a flintlock. I need to do that sometime. I’ve done a lot of shooting and hunting with a Thompson Center 50 cal. Hawken I bought back in the 70s. I love those “smokepoles”.
My Thompson Renagade is the meat getter. Shooting round ball is fine. But, Hornady XTP will drop them where they stand. I have on had one run and that was only 25 yard.
