Montgomery County police are investigating an armed robbery at a Gaithersburg restaurant Thursday evening.
Shortly after 8 p.m., police responded to a call about a robbery at El Meson restaurant at 615 S. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg. Waiting for Piers Morgan and Obama to talk about a ban on fire extinguishers..obviously these are assault weapons and should be banned
A fire extinguisher is a very good weapon if needed. Spray someones face full of dry-chem and they are not going to continue doing what they had planned.
It is also a huge mess to clean up and quite corrosive.
A complete ban is a bit extreme. How about a three-fire waiting period?
Ha, I drove past this scene on, wondering what on earth was drawing every single squad car in Montgomery County. A lot of cops and dogs and vehicles and lights for just a few little Spanish guys, who were cuffed and lying on the ground. I guess they didn’t have anything else to do on a quiet weeknight.
I agree that fire extinguishers, and fire hoses, should be banned. Someone might get hurt. A mentally ill person might discharge one in the wrong direction. Think of the children!
Assault fire extinguishers need to be banned ... If it saves one person’s life ...
How do you know they were from Spain?
(sigh) It’s 2 in the morning here, I made a mistake. Cut me some slack. I meant to write “Spanish-speaking.” It’s a Hispanic neighborhood and not too safe after dark, these days. Efforts are now being made to gentrify it, but it’s also an area where a lot of highly questionable residents live.
Oh, I know. I was just giving you the business, as Wally used to tell the Beaver.
The article says that detectives were seeking the perpetrators, but when I drove past there were three guys on the ground—one sitting, cuffed, and two more face down.
