Mr. King, it won't end up like Waco...the Feds had their "free one" on that fiasco. You should be fearing a thousand "Henry Bowmans" and "Wilson Blairs".....and stay away from Hog farms ;)

A question out of curiousity: If one is a NY citizen owning banned guns and moves them to a state where a second home or relative is located, is he still in violation? Seems to me this might be an encroachment on neighboring state laws as well.

Dayton King does not sound like a Republican.
But then again, what does a (R) sound like these days?

Apparently Mayor King thinks the U.S. is a long way down the road to open totalitarianism. We should heed his warning and prepare appropriately.

The victims of Waco were law abiding citizens in that
they were not convicted of any crime.

We already know what happens in a “Waco-style standoff.”

I could see something like this happening, and it would have to be the Feds ordered in, because I know for a fact in the city my husband works in as a FF, not one police officer or firefighter supports this law and the only talk is how to get around it. We're in upstate NY. I only mention my husband is a firefighter because while the Police will not have restrictions put on them, FF’s (obviously not the Police) work in the same complex as the PD and even though the FF’s are just “average citizens” when it comes to the idiotic NY law, all of the PD and FF’s are all in agreement. They will not take part in confiscation of their neighbors weapons, I don't believe.
I have another relative, ex marine, collector and gun enthusiast all his life. Teaches gun safety. I really fear what will happen if the Feds or state attempted to confiscate. He has no children, and would take a stand. I also know state troopers that will not enforce confiscation if ordered.

Just remember: more people were killed by the Federal Government at Waco than were killed by maniacs at Virginia Tech and Sandy Hook Elementary combined. And more
children* were killed by the U.S. Government at Waco than by Adam Lanza at Newtown (or for that matter by both Cho and Lanza combined, since none of Cho's victims were children).
*Taking "child" to mean legal minor, 17 years of age or under -- 22 (or 23 counting an unborn child) at the hands of Janet Reno's thugs at Waco vs. 20 at the hands of Adam Lanza.

Registration of guns is no more constitutional than registration of religion, and every bit as sinister

I’ve already told my reps that if they try that crap here in Pa it will get “messy”.

“Most people are law-abiding citizens and may go ahead and sell those or turn those over”
The constitution is the supreme law of the land so by not turning those over they’re being law-abiding.

Taking a stand like Waco? The majority of those murdered at Waco by the US Govt were women and children.
