I hope Obama will get around to issuing an executive order disarming terrorists soon. I’ve heard that will solve the problem.

It speaks volumes that the terrorists know they can do this without the U.S. unleashing the dogs of war upon them.

This nonsense will continue until the West deals with the Saudi source. The Wahibbi fundamentalist radicals who operate freely in Saudi Arabia are funding and motivating the world wide Islamic terror wave. The decadent royal Saudi family is terrified of them and the radicals do not bother them as long as they get funded and are allowed to operate.

Ah yes, a hostage situation for Obama to negotiate the release of someone such as the blind Sheik, whatever, whomever, and become a hero albeit belatedly...after the election, but still at a time he needs some buttressing of his approval numbers.

I despise cynicism, but it’s the results of too many years of them.

In this case, I would disagree with the “terrorist” designation. Was it not carried out by enemy combatants in an active war zone? That is enemy hostilities.

Who is the president? The One? Well then, this doesn't matter. Benghazi was only 4. This is only 8. Really, who cares? / By the way, I had a discussion with a neighbor who voted Obama. He didn't say it in so many words, but his point was, Benghazi was only 4 people, no big deal, didn't matter. That is what we're dealing with.

The attack near the In Amenas gas field in southern Algeria appears to be the first reprisal against Western interests for a French-backed offensive against jihadists in neighboring Mali.

Algeria's APS news agency gave a toll of two people killed, including a Briton, and six injured in the dawn attack by suspected Al-Qaeda loyalists in Tigantourine.

A spokesman for the Islamists said the group was holding 41 foreigners hostage, including seven Americans, after the attack.

"Forty-one Westerners including seven Americans, French, British and Japanese citizens have been taken hostage," the spokesman told the Mauritanian News Agency as well as Sahara Media.

He said five of the hostages were being held at the gas plant, while the others were in a housing complex on the site.

State Department also calls "terrorist attack":

A number of Americans are among 41 hostages seized by militants at a gas field in Algeria, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland confirmed on Wednesday, while declining to give the names, number or other details about those U.S. nationals "in order to protect their safety."

The hostage situation, described as a "terrorist attack" by Nuland, was unfolding at a gas operation in Amenas — a joint venture including oil giant BP, Norwegian oil firm Statoil and Algerian state company Sonatrach.

"The majority of those held are Algerian nationals," a senior U.S. official said earlier. Reuters also said that the number of U.S. citizens involved was 7, but Nuland declined to confirm the details.

I imagine there will be a trade coming soon. The seven Americans for the Blind Sheikh.

See how easy it is? Even Obama could do it!

Latest: The hostage takers in Algeria are demanding the release of 100 Islamist prisoners, who should be taken they say to the northern Mali border, according to a worker present at the gas plant. SNIP

Don’t worry, Obama will trade the Blind Sheik and all the other Islamist prisoners for the Americans. Obama has been hoping for the opportunity to offer a prisoner exchange after the Benghazi plan didn’t work out so well. This time, they planned to take big bad oil workers instead of an ambassador in case it doesn’t turn out so well.

Dude, it's another outbreak of JIHAD.
