Maybe people are just keeping their powder dry until they see what Obama actually puts out, but there had better be some forcible responses. At this point, except for one Congressman from Texas, I have not heard one peep from Republicans.
Republicans in NY appear to be agreeing to an unconstitutional anti-gun law. If Reince Prebuis has a prayer of EVER seeing any money from the rank-and-file the Republicans had better wake up and start acting like our representatives or they need to be primaried!
Maybe you meant “forceful response” when you wrote “forcible response”??
I don’t know what DC Republicans will do, but it seems to me a number of states and counties should render null & void these unlawful edicts, whether they be from Congress or Obama.
And skillful lawyers for freedom should attack these with legal arguments. Can you believe it? Beck was on the radio this a.m. outlining how these edicts could work and it is totally against all common sense and our nation’s founding.
For instance if you had someone who was victimized by violence such as rape or kidnapping, murder etc and that person sought psychiatric counseling, they could be labeled as “mentally ill” and if they had a weapon it could be confiscated. Their doctor would be obligated to report about their mental state and about whether they owned guns. Or if you had a child needing psychiatric help you had better keep it to yourself and not seek such help for them, because the second it becomes known, if you have a gun in your home you would be forced to relinquish it. Or if a family member with alzheimers moves in to be under your care, well, out has to go your guns. All of this would fall under mental health-related restrictions.
Beck went on and on and that was just one type of situation he raised.
Again, state and local governments need to put the kabosh on this stuff and confront any feds who attempt to “assault” citizens in their homes by showing up and demanding their guns.
Only the GOP would keep a guy in charge who was crushed in the last election.
