Most of these people make me sick.
If I could jump through the screen, I would kick mcchrystal in his head with both feet. Ditto powell.

Sunday Morning guessing game:
A picture is worth a thousand words. Look at the picture below and guess: is this the aftermath of a bunch of makers or takers?
Answer: takers, after a riot at a Section 8 voucher distribution in Taylor, MI, Sat, Jan 12, 2013.
5000 takers lined up for 1000 taxpayer paid Section 8 housing vouchers. In the end, nobody got nothin' as the takers could not behave themselves and the distribution was canceled.

Neera Tanden was very effective this morning attempting to reach those middle ground, low information voters. She stayed on message calmly and professionally stressing a few talking points such as universal background checks and common sense gun control.
Larry Pratt on the other hand was not trying to reach those low information voters and he succeeded. His talking points, no more gun control laws and eliminate the gun free zones, were not articulated clearly. We're lucky he was on Fox News Sunday and Chris Wallace took it easy on him.

I think it was Bill Kristol who made the most relevant point regarding the WH (Biden, in particular) and what will come of the gun-control issue:
‘Anything they propose/pass would not have stopped the events at Newtown.’
[If I think about it after Alas posts the links to the transcripts, I will search the transcript for the exact comment.]

As I change the channel to watch Face The Nation, I am greeted by this passage from a promo for CBS News: "What is reporting? Finding your own facts ....."
I wonder if the same guy who came up with the WTF slogan wrote that line.
