Great idea. They should have tried that with Japan and Germany in the closing days of WW2. That generation of leaders were much smarter than the current ones, so it would have stood a better chance of success.

Considering the fact that the circumstances are about 180 degress off, I see no similarity whatsoever. Do you even know what "the closing days of WW2" were like?
