Sure hope so.

I have a different first choice now, but sure wouldn’t mind seeing Jindal in the mix as well.

Sales tax can be as high as 9% in some parishes. Different rates for food and other items.

He’s got some great ideas, and he gave ‘Meh. Romney.’s campaign a kick in the @ss. :)

Besides, American cannot have Governor Scott Walker, yet. Let him whip us into shape, and THEN we’ll unleash him to save the rest of our nation. :)

When Texas has their no sales tax weekend for certain items, generally the week before school starts, there is a huge stream of traffic from Louisiana to Texas. If they drop state income taxes, wouldn’t be surprised to see them do a tax free weekend also. Also wonder if they pass this if ‘Bama and Mississippi will do the same thing. Then none of the states on the Gulf would have state income tax.

Sorry D in W. Ryan was a deer in headlights during the Debates. All he did was parrot what was told to him with no real depth. Anyway he voted with Obama on the recent tax increase.

I forgot to mention that most retirement income programs are already exempt.

Louisiana also has a charity hospital program for the poor.

Jindal ran it for awhile before becoming Governor.

Jindal to you is what the MSM makes him out to be. His administration is every bit, if not more “close to the vest”, as BHO. Cajun, you aught to know better. Might I suggest reading C. B. Forgotston?

Diana, Errant! Please do homework on Jindal’s pick, and current State Senate President, John Alario.. http://thehayride.com/2011/10/since-it-looks-like-our-masters-at-the-capitol-dont-give-a-crap-about-public-sentiment/

Jindal is not who you think he is...become a high information voter.

Cajun, you aught to know better.

Ahem, never said I was a Jindal fan, in fact I'm not.
Do not support him for a presidential run, we can do a lot better with a real conservative, Jindal is not.
Do I think he would be better than the total trash in the White House now, yes.

I do support dropping corporate income taxes, for the simple reason it will bring jobs to Louisiana, we do need more jobs and industry here.

I don’t trust politicians, believe it’s best none stay long enough in office to build a political machine. That said, he is light years ahead of Edwards, IMO. You have to also give him credit for his managerial abilities and don’t forget to give some credit to the citizens for putting a 'conservative' in office.

This would be a good thing for Louisiana IF he can pull it off. It would put more money into the hands of the taxpayers/consumers, boost the business climate by a huge margin which should result in jobs and economic growth. Yeah, that ought to be “unconstitutional” somewhere in the federal regulations. Some commie federal judge somewhere will declare it “unconstitutional”. /s
