Well look, they HAD to say something PC. I mean of the NRA says "we're gonna march on Washington!" it might not be taken the right way.

Hey, didn't Obamsky just sign himself "Lifetime" Secret Service protection? ----> Today.

Nah... couldn't be. Just a coincidence. Really.

The dems no longer bother with pretenses anymore. They already have their plan and don’t need any input.

It’s funny really.

Biden had to go through the motions. The NRA went through the motions to show they were interested in real issues. I’m sure the NRA knew how this would go. Now they demonstrated they were serious about the real issue and can legitimately argue their position.

The executive order has already been written. Now the Whitehouse is going through the motions with the Attorney General to make whatever comes seem legit and thoughtful.

Can’t wait to see what is revealed in the envelope.

The NRA members who went and saw Plugs Biden today will be interviewed by Hannity on his show tonight.

No, no, this can't be....dear Joe just said today that what came out of today's meetings were a general consensus for "universal background checks".

Now, why would Joe distort the truth? /s

I’ve never held a gun in my hand and don’t have any desire to do so. However, a few days ago, I joined the NRA as a lifetime member. I want my Second Amendment freedom protected; whether I exercise that freedom is my decision.

"But we’re compiling it all with the help of the attorney general"

Yeah, let's review the laws that drove the Feds (incl. H0lder) to go violently berserk at Waco and Ruby Ridge.

The NRA should hold a march on Washington. Absolutely. Let the chips fall where they may.

I’m sure it was pretty much a waste of time, just like liberals everywhere.

I went to the NRA website to read the message. It was short and sweat.

I would be interested in learning about what Ducks Unlimited, Shooting Sports Association and others had to say about the meeting.

Even more telling will be the meeting and responses from major retailers.

My personally feeling is that no matter what they heard Big Zero wants to implement (1) a high capacity magazine limit of 10 rounds on all weapons (and make them illegal retroactively), (2) impose high taxes on firearms and ammo, (3) impose a mandatory federal background check system on all firearm “transfers” whether they are commercial sales or parents giving them to children, and (4) ban so-called assault weapons based on cosmetic appearance.

I also expect to soon hear about import restrictions on a variety of firearms and ammo from overseas manufacturers and importers. I also expect to hear about the EPA declaring lead in bullets to be a major environmental and health hazard that should require the ban and disposal at federal collection points of all lead ammunition (bullets, cartridges, shotgun shells). Finally, I expect the CDC to be directed to develop public health programs to regulate firearms as a public health issue.

This is going to get so ugly.

Obama’s favorite MO seems to be hauling out the teleprompter and giving his “adoring” public a good little lecture (in response to some “crisis” or the other) about how “this is HOW it’s going to be done, so let it be written, so let it be done, and the Constitution be hanged!)

Not trying to be alarmist, and I hope the rumor is not true, but just heard from a Pentagon contact that there were high level meetings at the Pentagon today, including Secretary Panetta, that was analyzing the role the US Military would play in a mandatory gun turn-in program or complete gun confiscation.

Again, I hope there is no truth to this rumor.
