ESPN host Rob Parker suggests RGIII ‘pushes away’ from ‘his people’

It hasn’t been a great 24 hours for Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.

The rookie captain wasn’t able to finish Sunday’s playoff loss to the Seahawks after his knee buckled midway through the fourth quarter.

And then Rob Parker re-emerged.

Parker continued:

“It was just a conversation that’s had in the black community when athletes, or famous entertainers or whatever, push away from their people. And that’s really what it’s about. You saw it with O.J. Simpson, and some other people, where they say, ‘Well I’m not black, I’m O.J.’ So it’s more about that, not about RGIII and what’s going on. It’s more about this thing that we’ve battled for years and why people have pushed away from their people. It’s more about that.”

Affirmative action sportswriters are as stupid as affirmative action reporters like Juan Williams.

Scumbags like Parker won’t be happy until Griffin wears his hat sideways, talks in ebonics, and cuts a rap video.

Oh, they will settle for a drug conviction (using or selling), DUI or even whupping up on his old lady or bringing a gun to the locker room...

BUT the big Kahoona will be if/when he starts dissing his backup, the OTHER white meat.

Many Americans are praying for ya RGIII... including this one. I must admire someone with two military parents and a passion for his job. Nice of the folks to kick him while he is down.

As a white guy I generally care as much for blacks as they care about me, but I genuinely pity those victimized for not playing the race husters’ game. Liberal blacks should appreciate how many of them were being fed, clothed, and housed by RGIII’s taxes. He “contributed” more than their “leaders” (and more than most whites).

“It was just a conversation that’s had in the black community..."

It's a black thing, baby. You wouldn't understand.

Give me a break.

Imagine some commentator saying, "You know, in the white community we say blah blah blah...."

"Community"? How frickin' RACIST can you get Parker?

"...his people..."?

I thought "his people" would have been Americans. RGIII does sound more like "my people" than someone like Rob Parker.

Rob Parker's comment tells you all you need to know about him, those two words..."his people".

“I thought “his people” would have been Americans. RGIII does sound more like “my people” than someone like Rob Parker.”

RGIII lost all credibility because he knew not only who his father was, but his grandfather as well. The “community” apparently isn’t down wit’ dat.

“.. lost all credibility because he knew ho his father was...”

IMHO, this sentiment has nothing to do with the fact that he has a Mom and Dad, a white fiance, or speaks “white” (whatever that means). It has to do 100% with the fact that he is a conservative and that little fact is “letting the black community down”. Rob Parker is a complete moron. Who elected him as “king of how black people should act”?

Dear Black Community,

Get over yourselves. You are not special. You are like everyone else. You are just another citizen of this country, no more, no less. Your virulent racism is tiring. We have moved beyond it. It's time you moved off the Democrat Plantation and get past it.

I didn’t even know he had a white fiance (I really don’t care about football, especially if the NY Giants are already out). That alone spelled his doom as far as the race industry experts were concerned.

RGIII has probably made more money already as a rookie than 75% of Washington DC’s residents combined; he has no reason to look back. I do hope he recovers from his injuries, though; I know running quarterbacks have shorter careers.
