Sometimes, watching a Democrat learn something is wonderful, like seeing the family dog finally sit and stay at your command.
With President Obama back in office and his life-saving “fiscal cliff” bill jammed through Congress, the new year has brought a surprising turn of events for his sycophantic supporters.
“What happened that my Social Security withholding’s in my paycheck just went up?” a poster wrote on the liberal site DemocraticUnderground.com. “My paycheck just went down by an amount that I don’t feel comfortable with. I guarantee this decrease is gonna’ hurt me more than the increase in income taxes will hurt those making over 400 grand. What happened?”
Shocker. Democrats who supported the president’s re-election just had NO idea that his steadfast pledge to raise taxes meant that he was really going to raise taxes. They thought he planned to just hit those filthy “1 percenters,” you know, the ones who earned fortunes through their inventiveness and hard work. They thought the free ride would continue forever.

I work for a small manufacturing firm in Texas. About 100 shop employees. This August will be the annual ad/drop for insurance. This year the owner is not offering health insurance. They ave been very generous for years, and have absorbed price increases over the last 6 years. This year its going to hit home. A lot of the employees are obummer idiots, they are starting to get the message and are crying already.
Useful idiots are no longer useful or needed.
Those that don’t have pay checks will see it when prices rise and their welfare and food stamp benefits don’t go as far. Of course, that’ll be the fault of the productive. Everything else is.
I am a major share holder in a “S” corporation. I started if in 1972 and have never had a yearly loss. I always took the “profits” and left them in the company (after taxes were paid on the earnings) and now myself and my three partners have decided to take “distributions”. Tax already paid.....
We are moving to a very low pay scale and instead of paying rather high taxes on our normal payroll we will take just enough pay out to pay for medical, SSI. and other state and local “Overhead” and ride “o’s” train out of the station till it stops. While the profits replenish for our “families families will be replenished over the next generation.
I am the youngest of eight, military.’66-68. Still suffering from the after effects of the “F’n” jungles.

Virtually no one has any experience with $5,000 an hour jobs ~ maybe they might win a lottery ticket sometimes, or sell a house and end up with $50,000 or something, but for the most part they don't.
So what is it that the folks who make $5,000 per hour and above are doing?
Well, some are clipping coupons (regular interest payments on bonds purchased by then, or their ancestors) ~ hardly difficult work, but it's possible to look at this semi-skilled practice as work ~ but for $5,000 an hour? Probably not ~ but then we have lawyers who win big cases for rich clients. There are arguments the lawyer's arguments actually enhanced the client's wealth ~ but seriously, I've known a lot of lawyers and never seen any of them really work at it ~ so what is it if hard work isn't really doing a song and dance for a judge?
I think the writer's reference to 'inventiveness' ~ which has a good number of synonymns, is probably more like it. They didn't get the big bucks for working hard, they got them for being clever. An hourly wage guy who does unskilled labor probably has a hard time understanding that and might well misinterpret it as THEFT! Someone with more education probably understands that the big bucks go to the smart guys, although there are those who imagine the rich guys got their money simply by being in the right place at the right time ~ rather like a lottery winning.
I know rich people who actually think that ~ that they got there by being lucky. At the other end of the thought spectrum some of them imagine they got the big bucks because they deserve it over and above anybody else. I'm sure the mob guys think that way ~ fur shur the Presidential appointees do.
I didn’t agree with that tax cut (over others that could have been) But I ALWAYS knew there was a two years expiration date. These people must have been voting with their ‘lady’ parts. Such tools.

A creative employer could change the worker to part-time status, have him work 25 hours on the books @$20, for the same $500, and work the additional 15 hours off the books. Yeah—no healthcare benefits. That will become a lot more common than it is now.
The price of food and goods are starting to go up - again - due to the new tax increases. Gas is due to hit $4 by spring.

Tell me if I’m wrong.
But I did get the trips to posh hotels ~ off season when we could get them cheaper than the gresiest dirt bag wino motel ~ and frequently spent 100 hour weeks.
The alternative is hourly wage work with caps on overtime, no trips. Jobs at the higher levels are also more entertaining.
