It is only coming if a few nutjobs on the rightwing fringe start shooting people they don’t agree with and give Obama the excuse he so desperatly is looking for to take the rights of the rest of us away.

You don't get it. If that's the "excuse" Obama and his minions are looking for, they'll set things up so it looks like that's exactly what happens. So if it comes, it comes. Enough with the hand-wringing.
1. They don’t need an excuse. They have no respect for the Constitution, the law, or the safety of the average American that wants to defend themselves.
2. They will do it because they want absolute control and a citizenry that can be subjugated and not feared.
3. More people are killed each year in the US with knives and hammers than guns. Stop being deluded into thinking that all Americans must lose their right to protection because a small number of criminals misbehave. You are being fooled.
4. No criminal is EVER going to respect ANY gun law. Gun laws are only designed to control law abiding people.
