Girlguiding UK is considering the removal of any mention of God or the Queen from its oath.
In one of the most controversial shakeups in its 102-year history, the organization has launched a consultation that could lead to significant changes to the promise Guides are expected to take when they join.
It would be the first major reform for the Guides, which boasts more than half a million members, to be initiated under Julie Bentley, its new chief executive.
The former head of The Family Planning Association, who took over in November, ruffled feathers when she described the Guides as the ultimate feminist organization.

Slowly the worm turns.
God use to have a prominent position in our existence ... now God seems to be of little consequence.
Pity the unbelievers. Eternity in Hell is a very long time.

Terrible, but not surprising. The handwriting was on the wall years ago.

And the Monty Python skit that is Britain rolls on. What a soulless PC toilet.

UK’s been doing real, real well since it’s began it’s cultural abandonment of God.
We’re not far behind. We’re blessed we have a lot more Christians here that actually do believe and actually do good things. We are fortunate our predecessors were so strong it’s been a lot harder to stop our inertia than in Britain. Godless socialism was a much harder sell, a lot longer, here than in Airstrip One.

More proof that England is on its way down the Crapper. Destroying one institution after another. Pretty soon you’ll have a mosque the size of Scotland outside of London.
Why not? Many of the archbishops of Canterbury have been outright communists and sympathizers.
Looks like Price Harry and his guys in Afghanistan are the last true Brits around.
Nothing but fops and reds in London.

There is no god but the state. Those of us who believe in Him had better get a move on.

England and the rest of Europe have been a spiritual desert since before WWI. They are cultural Christians, if even that. They used to pretend to believe in God, but now they no longer feel the need to pretend. Christianity in Europe is seen as an artifact from the past. It is little more than a footnote in a history book. Certainly there are a few Christians in every European country, but they are politically weak and have little influence.
