Armed guards from RGA Investigations have taken up post at the Journal News Rockland County headquarters. Guns are good for the goose but NOT for the gander.
A Clarkstown police report issued on December 28, 2012, confirmed that The Journal News has hired armed security guards from New City-based RGA Investigations and that they are manning the newspapers Rockland County headquarters at 1 Crosfield Ave., West Nyack, through at least tomorrow, Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
[Update 1/4/13-the guards will now be present indefinitely]
According to police reports on public record, Journal News Rockland Editor Caryn A. McBride was alarmed by the volume of negative correspondence, namely an avalanche of phone calls and emails to the Journal News office, following the newspapers publishing of a map of all pistol permit holders in Rockland and Westchester.
Due to apparent safety concerns, the newspaper then decided to hire RGA Investigations to provide armed personnel to man the location.

I know that there is a movement out there to boycott sponsors advertising in that rag.
I actually think a better response would be that every gun owner cancel their subscription. There would be no reason to advertise when no one is reading it.
HYPOCRITES!
Remember the anti-selfdefense people always say they are uncomfortable around guns, so are they now uncomfortable?
A ton of advertisers have stopped advertising in the paper and on their website.
One of the ones that is still advertising with them is:
Westchester Toyota/Scion
888-235-3013
Give them a call.
They should be - the ‘armed guards’ from RGA get a whopping 8 hours of training.
Why make the office a hard target when the home is a soft target.
Do they sprint to the car after visiting stores?
Each dot represents a household with a registered weapon in the state of Texas.
lol, love it!
Maybe someone should figure out how to publish the names and addresses of all the NEW social security disability recipients. Those poor souls, they surely need all the help they can get, what with being disabled and all.
And no worries, I am NOT talking of the legitimate disabled who recently enrolled, I respect the decision to do so as I am very familiar with the program. We all know it’s an attempt to over load the system with all the NEW and unfounded disabled who game the sick and broken system.
Great idea!
Then everyone could watch them and record their disabilities when they play volleyball and tag football and stuff!
The left in the country is violent. We’re not. The way we fight the MSM is to cancel our subscriptions, boycott advertisers and spread the word.
You know that, right?
Oh - and we’re winning.
The Journal News has engaged in willful endangerment of the armed and unarmed residents of the counties where addresses were listed.
A cease and desist order needs to be filed so that injunctions and punitive damages can begin to be assessed against the owners of the Journal News and their employees.
A severe financial and prison punishment must be made in this public trust abuse case to deter other citizens and news outlets from participating in future harassment of law-abiding citizens.
This rag is wasting its money, all they have to do is declare their building to be a “gun-free zone” and everyone will be safe...
Interesting - they would keep citizens away from weapons when being confronted by actual attackers, then decide they need weapons available because of words...
