Better yet, Mr. Cameron should have been with my students and me at Washington’s Newseum in October, 2008. George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley there told an overflow crowd: “I know opponents of gay marriage say it will lead to polygamy. Well, I’m for that.”

That's the money quote.

Turley’s statement was wildly cheered by a hall filled with liberal congressional staffers, federal judicial clerks, and journalists. You could not have found a better example of the chattering classes, the Inside-the-Beltway elites.

Turley is defending polygamists in a court case. He actually believes in a right to polygamous marriage for people who want it. I don't know if the rest of his audience actually agreed with him or were just applauding his audacity.
