Sesquicentennial Comparisons: Black Slavery in America and Ottoman Turkey (Beware: no faint hearts!)
American Thinker ^ | January 1, 2013 | Andrew G. Bostom

Posted on 01/02/2013 12:18:37 AM PST by neverdem

January 1, 2013 marks the sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) of President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, which set the United States firmly on the path toward the abolition of slavery.

--snip--

Castrators of Negroes buy them and then sell them, after having mutilated them, on the Turkish market, that is if the victim does not succumb to the operation or to its consequences. As to the methods used, they have remained as primitive as in the past. The child is spread out on the floor or a table, the sexual parts are tied at their base by a rope, and on these parts they operate with one vigorous movement of a razor, the wound is then dressed with some small shot [i.e., lead rifle shot?], with some astringent substances, boiling oil, or some warm honey. Once the bleeding stops, they fix a kind of lead nail two inches long, slightly curved and with a thickened end, in the urethra, until it is completely healed. This metal rod enters the bladder; it is connected by threads of linen tape which encircles the stomach and kidneys, and is kept in place by a piece of cloth attached to the belt in front and rear. The operation, as one can well imagine, is more or less well done, and it can leave ugly scars, or keloid scars [Keloids are the excess growth of scar tissue at the site of a healed skin injury]...Castrators sometimes use an even more barbaric method. Immediately after the removal of organs, they introduce into the urethra rather than a nail, a piece of reed protruding two inches, so that urinary functions are performed without interruption...

--snip--

Out of a hundred operated on, and it is mostly children aged six to twelve, ninety succumb [i.e., do not survive; emphasis added]...

This is not to be confused with the enslavement and castration of conservatives and conservatism by the Republican Party.

Glad you cleared that up—those RINO horns in the conservative groin still hurt like heck though.

Go viral to be read ?

Would not your target audience need to be able to read ?

A very large percent of them are barely literate

Amen Brother, and they stood in line to have it done.

A few of them came out of the meeting with their scrotun still intact, but not many.

You said: “Sounds like what obama just did to the republicans!”

May I be so bold as to correct you?

Sounds like what obama and his lewinsky’s in the congress just did to the citizens of the Republic!

I heard that Snowe is leaving the senate because after the years of clinton, bush, and obama her knees have just given out.

Two different passions have been the cause of the adoption of slavery; the idleness and profligacy of the Mussulman in the one case, and the money-making mania of the Anglo-American in the other.

A highly relevant point. Slavery in America was a profit-making enterprise. Slavery in the Muslim world was generally, though not perhaps exclusively, a form of display or ostentation. It was not capitalistic in motivation.

while the Turkish negro turned into a tool proper to support the luxurious life of his master is doomed to perish, the American negro being made an agent of cultivation and industry, prospers, and his progeny multiplies.

It should be pointed out that down thru history slaves have seldom reproduced themselves, and maintaining the stock, much less expanding it, always required imports.

This was apparently as true in Rome, Brazil and the Caribbean as in the Muslim world.

Only in the United States did the slave population not only maintain its numbers, but match the free population in one of the greatest population explosions in history.

While I make zero excuses for the practice of American slavery, its unique history of population growth seems to indicate some reduced severity of the institution compared to is competitors.

Very interesting. That some blacks consider Islam to be somehow “liberating” versus “the oppressive Christianity of the slave master”, even to the point of casting off their family names in favor of Muslim ones, is incredibly ironic considering the role Christianity played in abolishing black slavery not only in the West, but also in the lands of Islam as well. Not to mention that Christians never did anything as cruel, sick and twisted as castration on a systematic basis.

I am convinced that there is so much money to be skimmed as a member of Congress, that none have any concern for anything other than money and their own safety.

Interesting article. I have long known that the Islamic world was the last to reject African slaves just within my lifetime (if they even have completely done that today) but I was always puzzled as to why American blacks would be drawn to Islamic religion and especially the Arabic names.

It never made a damn lick of sense to me for some guy from Louisville, KY changing his name from that of a noted, and very brave abolitionist named Cassius Clay and instead take the name Muhammad Ali, a man who personally enslaved thousands of Africans for the Ottoman Empire.

Just never made any damn sense to me.

...but match the free population in one of the greatest population explosions in history.

Actually exceeded it at twice the rate of the white population in the slave states that had very slow immigration from Europe. That is the reason expansion of slavery to the territories became such a contentious issue in the mid 19th century.

The Slave holders especially in the deep south knew damn well they needed new markets in the future because their slave population was growing far faster then they were. To keep the market up long-term, they needed a demand for more slaves, and that could only come with expansion to the territories.

Why not see if you can get an AP US or World History teacher to present a paper on it at the national meeting?
