We had some in an outside light and they lasted about six months. I also have a lamp post that has had the same incandescent bulb I put into it in 1990.

I too tried the CFLs which supposedly had a 15 year lifeapan......l
they all lasted in the range of 6 months. Some 3.

I’ve replaced many CFLs. Seems at least 1 goes out every other month. More expensive CFLs plus the need to drop it off at a collection center when they burn out, and the tint and output is inferior to incandescents makes the CFLs a clear winner.
