Meh, the hubby still hasn’t figured out that none his Springsteen vinyls made the move from Iowa to PA.

“Tragic boating accidents”...they’re not just for firearms :-)

He can't sing... he can't dance... he can't write... he can't draw a Las Vegas crowd in Vegas... he has not made a hundreds of movies and he is not a star... he is a dope headed hippie, tax evading communist. I hate his music and I despise him and shun him and everything that he stands for. I pray for his soul.

This could be why so many people hate boomers.

So many revolutions end in tyranny.

Maybe that's an exaggeration, but it is at once ironic and to be expected that the people who rebelled so vigorously against their parents' music have been trying to force their own on their children and grandchildren for 40 years.

I don't mind Springsteen's old music (and I don't know what, if anything, he's been up to for the last 20 or 30 years), but to a lot of young people he is (or should be if there's any justice in the world) what Guy Lombardo or Perry Como or Rudy Vallee were to boomers.

I heard an interview of him on the radio back in the mid(?) seventies. He couldn't put two semi-intelligent sentences together. Every other word out of him was uhmm, like, aah, you know.

Without Clarence Clemmons on saxaphone the E-Street band was just another second or third rate.

the woman with the best voice ever -Ella Fitzgerald.

That could be a basis for mutual understanding, though I wouldn't go quite that far in my personal assessment.

I’ve even Deadheaded about twenty times partaking of the unique joy of seeing Jerry Garcia and the gang live.

Ah, I think I see what your problem is... 'Partaking' seems to be the operative word there. And it's fried your brain...
