Oh yeah...I really like that idea!!!
How many NY homes have sharp knives in the kitchen?!?
Thanks Libloather.
I thought it was difficult to get a permit in NY.
If this is true it would seem like people who have been denied or haven’t made the effort because they thought it would be hard, now can say so-in-so has one, why can’t I.
Therefore I would anticipate the issuing of new permits to soar.
I’ll tell you this sucks...because there shouldn’t BE any “gun permits” being issued and it shouldn’t be anyone’s business if you have a firearm for protection. Time to push back and start working to repeal gun laws on the books.
pardon my ignorance, but what's a Logo Channel?
Did you tell them they were now honorary members of the NRA and thank them for enrolling in the “Ammo of the Month” club??
I'd be good with it if Hussein played golf everyday with tewo caveats:
1. No wrtiting executive orders on the side and...
2. Hire someone to dress his wife decently and stop embarrassing the nation with the hip hop fashion:

Since carry permits are extremely hard to come by in New York, if I was a burglar, the newspaper gave me a great Christmas gift - a shopping list of where to find guns (and more likely more than just a handgun) which are pretty easy to dispose of on the street for cash.
But let’s take it to the proper side of the street - odds are that quite a few of those handgun owners bought a handgun because of some threat. In browsing some of the names on there, many were in published domestic disputes or victims of crime. Their addresses were not easily available until the newspaper published them on their website.
It’s open season for stalkers, their prey exposed for more harassment, all because people thought ‘gosh, a gun registry can’t be all that bad, right? It’s not like it’s published...’
There is no ‘reasonable accommodation’ with liberals, ever. They’ve been trying to get the guts to do this for decades; look at the way they fought AIDS registries - they didn’t want homosexuals exposed like they intended on exposing gun owners.
advertiser mugshots?
advertiser permit holders?
criminal records?
The government hasn’t as yet acted to ban guns, so our media is doign everythigtn they can to intimidate gun owners and put their lives at risk- Even movie directors tried to incite murder agaisnt Zimmerman by publishing his address- Our freakin media and hte left are tryign to incite murder- they are desperately hoping someone will snap and go to one of the posted addresses and murder the occupents-
What a swell main stream media we have here in America- They want to incite violence on our own citizens- These fraks are WORSE than actual criminals- these cowards want to incite criminals while they themselves sit back with ‘clean hands’ and watch and cash in on, the violence that ensues-
Perhaps the people whos names have been posted by the media should post hte names, addresses and work schedules of everyoen invovled i nthe maisntream media who has attempted to make them targets of criminals-
U R correct and some old folks are going to be broken into and murdered because of this garbage. These idiots need to be sued.
Some guy looking for his ex-wife will find her.
focus on ADVERTISERS.
that is their lifeblood.
re: I’m sure burglars read these reports with great interest. “Stay away from 317 Elm St. But it looks like 320 is pretty prime.”
Exactly right!! This info tells every would-be thief which homes are safe and which are not. But, these gun-hating guys are totally clueless - they won’t get it.
". . . some key [events] exacerbated the national debate, fraying trust, and national cohesion just a little more each time . . . The two-party system that had governed America . . . began to fall apart . . . interest in politics took the place of all other forms of news-related entertainment . . . politicians were the celebrities . . . [Politics/ideology] was becoming such a habit, the reactions so automatic, that [journalists] taking sides on every news story became inevitable."
.. I just can't avoid thinking about this from for Love & Liberty by Robin Young and it's about 1857 America.
One-hundred-and-fifty years later the discord is over
How about posting advertisers addresses and home phone numbers????
[[They are so absorbed in their self-righteous indignance of someone else owning a gun, that they dont even realize there could be a real nutjob out there that wont stop with finding out email addresses, phone numbers, even home addresses]]
Oh they realize it alright- in hteir sick minds, they woudl be absoltuely giddy over a ‘radical right gun owner’ beign murdered because hteirl sit provided the nutcase with the info needed to find and target the gun owner- their seethign hatred for the right includes a desire to see legal citzens with legal guns beign murdered- and i ntheir mnind, they will think the victim got what they deserved- plus they would benifit fro mthe ensuing story because peopel woudl be buying hte paper to ‘learn the details’ (which iof course will be written i nsuch a way as to exhonorate the paper and make the guin owner look like hte evil one- JUST LIKE they did in the Zimemrman case
I Truly beleive the left are so deranged that they woudl be giddy over a right wing gun owner being mrudered and owudl say “Well, they got what they deserved because they would not oppose gun ownership- they are the reason violence happens in this nation- they have created this ‘death culture’, and if it wasn’t for legal guns, criminals wouldn’t have the ability to use guns because htere wouldn’t be any guns, and perhaps now gun owners will think twice about owning guns... (big pouty puppyu eye look) We can only hope”’
I truly beleive these leftist media freaks are actively tryign to incite murder- just as they did i nthe Zimmerman case by REFUSING to objectively report the FACTS, and by not so subtly insinuating it was a white on black racist shooting- The media was KNOWINGLY trying to incite the black community to hunt down George Zimmerman AND his family and murder them- After watchign hteir despicable bias and leftist ideology at work, you can’t help but coem to any other conclusion- These media freaks are triators to this country- They are tryign to tear down thsi country- NOT build it up!
The fault is the Gov't requiring a Permit to own a handgun. Free peoples don't need permission to conduct their Rights.
In NY you could purchase a rifle or shotgun. No 'required' permit in that case.
Someone will do the research and pull something from these maps that the so-called newspaper isn't gonna like very much.
I read somewhere that several of the names published were of sexual assault victims whose *stalker/attackers/etc* now have their victims (previously undisclosed) addresses. At least these thugs know their victims are packing, now. Still unsettling, none the less.
I live in NE Ct. I don’t know a neighbor who doesn’t own a gun and I know a lot of neighbors. The area I live in is pretty rural and its the most conservative part of a liberal state but it is still dominated by democrats and my democrat neighbors have guns as well. Culture shock would whack this newspaper upside the head up here in the quiet corner.
Love it! It could be titled "Where YOUR Tax Dollars Are Going". Taxpayers should have an entitlement, too...to know EXACTLY where OUR $$ is going.
Registered gun owners have purchased their firearms themselves...w/out government handouts...yet, once again, we're the ones being punished.
If I was licensed to practice in NY, I’d happily take the case of a client who sues the hell out of that paper if something happens to one of those pistol permit holders. Some of them are domestic violence survivors trying to hide from a piece of crap they left.
Yes, these are the people who should he yelling!
If they don’t, tough luck when they’re visited by the bad guys. Your neighbor won’t be inclined to help you. lol
Publish the names and residential addresses of the board members of the leftist media.
If this isn’t inciting death threats, I don’t know what is! Can’t they be sued for that alone?
Not death threats but endangerment of law biding citizen’s lives.
Someone will do the research and pull something from these maps that the so-called newspaper isn’t gonna like very much.
Well anybody that wants to talk to advertizers can start here. May I suggest the real estate section?
You know I really like that home you have advertized in LOHU, and it is close to my place of work. I also noticed you have a gun owner nearby. Will you accept this price for the inconvenience and safety concerns?

the advertisers personal information is the key.
imagine if it turns out those advertisers are being protected by being not listed.
advertiser mugshots and arrest records are all public record.
How to Find Out Who Owns a Gun Permit: Learn If Your Neighbors Are Packing Heat
That’s like not having a ‘Gun Free Zone’ sign in front of your house.
Now THAT is an idea!
Seems to me that if criminals know you have weapons in your house, and you know that they have that knowledge, you will make extra sure they are secured when you are not home...and when you are home, they won’t come to your house because they know you are armed.
I agree...they know you are armed but they don’t know you’re home...they go to next house because yours presents too much unknown risk.
Gay channel. Some of the show names on the schedule will make you either laugh or hurl.
List all the people who work for the paper, where they live and what kind of protection they have on them or in thier home.
They listed a neighbor, but not me or the guy two doors down on the other side of the street.
Bad guys come for the guns in the house listed are in for the surprise of their crooked little lives.
By the way, I work with a man from Newtown, Conn. All he says is “I don’t know, they keep changing the story, thank God we don’t have our kids in public schools.”
“The owner of this property is armed. There is nothing inside worth risking your life for.”
I’ve seen that warning put more simply,
“There is nothing inside this house that is worth your life.”
And sooner or later some Amish Darwin is going to go “I ain’t afraid of your m**********ng gun, man! I be coming in blazin’ if that what it takes!”
After which it will be time for some garbage removal.
I am a Texan too.
I am a Texan too.
Right back at ya.
The Leftwing faction in media is this Country’s greatest threat.
While publishing this info may not be illegal, it’s still a hostile action against gun owners. Maybe the paper’s advertisers should be deprived the patronage they would normally receive.
This paper is making it personal for the community suffering its antics.
Now publish the names of all the editors, reports and editorialists at the NY Times.
Then the Washington Post, and on and on.
I think I heard the NRA thinks this is a fine idea, it will keep thieves out armed citizen's homes.
It seems that there is a bit of retaliatory action so the criminals can know where these journalists live safely tucked in their homes with no protection from burglars with guns.
Pictures of their homes, addresses, phone numbers all availiable to anyone. Thieves can call to see if anyone is home, but if there is they can just shoot them as they are unarmed.Blogger publishes names, addresses of newspaper staff after gun-permit database
A blogger upset with a New York newspaper’s decision to publish an interactive map of local gun permit holders has returned the favor by posting the names and addresses of nearly every employee at the publication.Blogger Christopher Fountain on For What It’s Worth published names, home address and email contact information for Journal News editor Cyndee Royle, publisher Janet Hasson and reporter Dwight Worley, who wrote an article on Sunday to accompany the map that led to widespread criticism aimed at the Lower Hudson Valley newspaper.
Journalists’ Addresses Posted In Revenge For Newspaper’s Google Map Of Gun Permit Owners
A week after the Newtown massacre, The Journal News published an interactive Google Map with the names and addresses of gun permit owners in select New York cities. The bold move has escalated into a transparency arms race, after a Connecticut lawyer posted the phone number and addresses of the Journal‘s staff, including a Google Maps satellite Image of the Publisher’s home. “I don’t know whether the Journal’s publisher Janet Hasson is a permit holder herself, but here’s how to find her to ask,” read Christopher Fountain’s blog post. The double irony here is that open data was heralded as...
Pretty smart people at that newspapers, they'll teach us to have rights!
looks like it’s time to put up a site of ‘gun free homes’
i wonder how the gun-grabbers would feel about that, after all, none of their personal information was expose... just a lack of public information creating the obvious deduction
either no guns in the home... or illegally owned firearms whose owners should be reported
right?
