The highly-anticipated meeting came and went without any immediate clue from congressional lawmakers as to whether they had made any progress toward resolving the impending onset of automatic tax hikes and spending cuts set to take effect on Jan. 1.

But the president is scheduled to deliver a statement from the White House at 5:45 p.m. ET.

A protracted stalemate between Obama-led Democrats and congressional Republicans had prompted Friday's last-ditch meeting.

Now just what kind of impact do you think this lie will have on the republicans? They don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of getting anything out of this mess.

If Republicans do nothing at all, they are guaranteed $1.1 trillion in spending cuts for the current fiscal year. Unfortunately, Republicans are not conservatives. So I fully expect our Republican leadership to fold and give Obama another $2.5 trillion in freshly-printed slush fund money which he will use to buy the 2014 Congressional election just as he did in 2012. Face it. Republicans are spineless idiots.

The GOP has failed America as much as the democrats have destroyed it.

Even more so. Unlike Democrats, Republicans knew that printing up new money to fund government was wrong, yet they did it any way.

You may be right on some points. But I can honestly say, I don’t know one house republican that I consider a Marxist or a communist sympathizer, or has an agenda to destroy our constitution. That said, give me an immediate alternative and plan to save this country NOW, we are out of time.

I can’t fault your logic. I really can’t. You’re 1000% right.

What I suggest may very well be a fool’s errand.

HOWEVER—

I don’t think it would hurt anything to try. Who knows ? Perhaps we’ll succeed.

Yes, but keep in mind that the Constitution Party and the Liberaltrarian Parties have many leftist impulses. The Constitution Party is filled with Paleocons who have more in common with Code Pinko than they do with Conservatives like us. The Liberaltarian Party is filled with cultural Marxists who have no problem with crap like homosexual “marriage” and political correctness.

I’d argue there’s more to their ‘core-beliefs’ (smaller govt, anti-worldpolice, etc.) that are more inline w/ the Conservatives than the current GOP camp (since they can’t even seem to follow their own platform).

I’ve debated that these fundamental policies should be the base of a united NEW party that could bring all like-minded people together to restore our Rights and Freedom; there’s no need to reinvent the Constitution when it is what we should be be getting back to....THEN take on one difference at a time to work out (IE: gay marriage, not in gov’t purview, leave it to the religious institutions, but nothing wrong w/ civil unions [say, outside of adoption]).

Here we are battling over billions of $$ per year, when the real argument should be what right does gov’t have to do ABC (9th & 10th), en-debt every Citizen for $XYZ (13th), etc. I believe breaking it down to the fundamentals will energize and bring all the camps together to fight the 2 party cartel.

I think you’re on the right track. One thing that should unite Conservatives, Paleocons, and Liberaltarians would be the defeat of the Marxist Left by a healthy margin. If there’s one thing we can all agree on is they must be defeated, assuming it isn’t too late, that is.

Hey, but in the meanwhile....

Happy New Year, FRiend!

Appreciate the salutations, and Happy New Year to you and yours.

Unfortunately, nobody in their right mind would want to be the brunt of the D.C. shit-storm by running as true Constitutionalist. Hell, the GOP itself would sent out the drones. Our own guys can’t get om the horn and tell it like it is w/out utilizing the Left’s language, I have little hope of anyone else saving what’s left of the Republic.

At least with the capitulation of the ‘leadership’ over the holiday, there’s few here anymore that still carry the GOP pom-poms (if only for a bit)....some small favor, I guess.

But I still believe if one were to make a strong, CONCISE, case without all the flowerly bullshit, they’re rocket to the top of 3rd party choices.

Take taxes. almost 100 yrs of social engineering, gov’t fingers and eyes on everything you do, but any mention of the a national sales tax only and our own sides starts off “but it doesn’t raise enough $$” vs ‘gov’t spends too much already’ or just about anything else instead of seeing the TOMES that law has become or the Freedom lost.

I’d think making a 20-plank platform and putting short 5-min videos on the ‘net to break-down those to the basics would get the ball started. Setup forums to discuss and debate and use the fine-tuned from the forums to hammer the piss out of the GOP and DEM alike to get the People behind and the same passed.

FOCUS on the BASICS, the LAW, and show how it applies to ALL or NONE, no favors, no special carve-outs and easily read/understood by everyone. Simply refuse to use emotion and take the fight using logic and Truth.
