I wonder if a well placed Nitro Express would take out an Apache ?

If the American Spring started up you know they would fire up those lawn mowers to break up the Tea Party

Every friday at 2:30 pm one or two Apaches fly over downtown Los Angeles for some reason

As this is a thought experiment, I've heard stories where Mi-24 Hinds were shot down by AK-47's back in the 1980's in Afghanistan so the Apache is pretty much in the same category. Some say the bigger cartridges like the .375 H&H and up would do the trick.

I'm not sure I'd believe that one, unless they actually shot the pilot.

I don't think there was any serious attrition of Soviet helicopter gunships until the Afghans started acquiring Stingers.
