Comfortable: Bush is staying at Methodist Hospital in Houston and has promised 'not to get too grumpy' for the extended visit to the hospital
A persistent fever that kept former President George H.W. Bush in a hospital over Christmas has gotten worse, and doctors have put him on a liquids-only diet, his spokesman said Wednesday.
Jim McGrath, Bush's spokesman in Houston, had said earlier in the day that the fever had gone away, but he later corrected himself.
'It's an elevated fever, so it's actually gone up in the last day or two,' McGrath told The Associated Press. 'It's a stubborn fever that won't go away.'
George H.W. Bush as the youngest pilot in the Navy during WW2.
He was a genuine badass in his youth, and he’s still a tough old bird. Get well soon, sir.
I’m betting he has already passed on but we won’t hear about it until the MSM wants us to hear.
There has to be more problems than his fever. FUO -fevers of unknown origin- maybe drug fevers and I’m sure that’s been considered. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20030474
Under Obamacare he’d have been euthanized already.
Should’ve ate his broccoli...
I hope for the best for him. I am almost guessing that he picked this up while in the hospital.
I am home from work running a fever of 101.5 since last night. Another friend was out of work 5 days last week. I think something is going around.
I fully expect that the Fedgov under Obama will try to take away everyone’s guns this year, but failing that, I would not be surprised if they release some nasty bugs into the general population. Yes, they are that blood-thristy.
“George H.W. Bush as the youngest pilot in the Navy during WW2.”
Yes, but did he ever do any community organizing?
It’s crazy to think there is a MSM conspiracy to withhold information on Bush Sr. He’s almost 90 years old. Old men get ill and eventually pass on. I hope he gets better and lives another 10-20 years but the hourglass eventually runs out on all of us.
I heard the term on radio late night as GUARDED, moved to intensive care
Lord be with him
Good call!
I believe you are most likely correct in your assumption. People his age are prone to an infection of the digestive track called “C-Diff”(Clostridium difficile) which is often contracted from a previous stay in the hospital, although a small portion of the population has this bacterium naturally present in their colon.
C-Diff is difficult to eradicate in older people because of arterial stenosis and other vascular conditions common to the elderly that lessen blood flow to certain areas and compromises their ability to fight off infection and, in general, heal. C-Diff in the very old and very infirmed is often fatal.
Wikipedia says:
Clostridium difficile (pronunciation below) (from the Greek kloster (κλÏÏÏήÏ), spindle, and Latin difficile,[1] difficult), also known as “CDF/cdf”, or “C. diff”, is a species of Gram-positive bacteria of the genus Clostridium that causes severe diarrhea and other intestinal disease when competing bacteria in the gut flora have been wiped out by antibiotics.
He’s probably septic.
I pray we won’t soon be finding out what Obama was the youngest at...
Especially at Methodist. It isn’t what it’s cracked up to be, although I’m sure GB is getting better care than the average patient would.
Agreed. I'm hoping that he gets better but like you said, all of our days are numbered. No one lives forever on Earth.
It will be announced by a hospital spokesperson and the information would have gotten out even when there was a complete MSM monopoly on the news. At least HW had made it clear a strong desire to go before Barbara...
So sorry to hear about this, I hope he keeps going for a while longer. I love to see the family, no matter what everyone says.
