Americans. It took us 40 years to get rid of Piers Morgan. Pleasse don't send him back. 24 Dec 12

The Top Gear host also tweeted:

Jeremy Clarkson

@JeremyClarkson

Americans. Was the second amendment not introduced to protect you from the tyranny of the British? Piers Morgan in other words. 24 Dec 12

Following the deadly shooting at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, Morgan insulted second amendment advocates on Twitter and called a guest on his CNN show, Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners for America, an "idiot," "dangerous" and an "unbelievably stupid man."

Jeremy is pretty much of an asshat himself. I like his show even though he’s always gotta throw in a few BS comments that show what he’s really about. And his car reviews are garbage. I can’t be the only one who’s noticed that in their reviews Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Alpha Romeo can do no wrong but Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, and BMW are “droll” and “boring”. Range Rover, the king of unreliability, is “brilliant”? Sure.

I thought it was funny that they came over here to do a show but at the last minute, to maximize inconvenience, the major American car makers wouldn’t provide them cars for review because of their unfair reviews. They reviewed the Corvette GS like it was a Yugo. (With remarks like, “American cars are all such rubbish,” keep wondering why they did that, Jer.)

I love the challenges. The car reviews are rubbish. Just DVR the show and fast forward past that.

>>>I think the Brit version of Top Gear is the best show on TV, period.

I agree...our entire family loves it. Its good for the kids in the sense they go to a lot of places all over the world and you get a glimpse of culture. Plus, It's funny.

I’ll second that! That show is in a Class all by itself. The Crossing the Kalahari Desert in Clunkers episode, The Three Wise Men, Vietnam, The Bolivian Rainforest, The Cars of the Cold War episode, the Race to the Magnetic North Pole, and all of those other crazy “Races” are simply Masterpieces, imo.

What about the epic Reliant Robin journey from Sheffield to Rotheram?

I’ll never forget the British Top Gear episode where they played darts with cars...using cars and the James Bond stunt car launcher to fire the cars from a cliff down onto the dart “board” on the floor of an open pit mine.

Without a doubt one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on TV. I know that it is on youtube. Check it out.
