We have a good supply of returning vets who know their way around weapons, can following training instructions and act independently. Each state should institute a 'hire a vet' program where the armed guard in each school (two in some schools) should be paid $50,000 per year with benefits and body armor appropriate to the locale (in detroit, maybe an APC).
Liberal bastard democraps demand armed guards for their money (banks) and their elected democrap shills (Capitol Hill security is always armed), but they demand all law abiding citizens be disarmed in the twisted magic thinking belief that that will protect their offspring/future liberal vermin.
That would cost about ten billion dollars a year--for a bunch of guys to stand around chatting with the school secretary for years on end, waiting for lightning to strike. Might as well hire Walmart greeters for half the price instead.
Should they have metal detectors and X-ray machines too? Maybe just hire TSA flunkies like the airports do?
