If you had bothered to read why GWB wasn’t eligible for service in Vietnam you’d know. Obviously you have your own agenda.
I have read about it and a fellow named Barnes got W a cushy spot, unavailable to the general populace.
Again, I do not like Kerry for what he did after his service and his politics, but I will never demean a man who volunteered to fight for America. Ripping him for subsequent events is fine with me, but those who served should be looked at positively for that aspect of their life.
Well again, you should read about his service in Vietnam. His actual service, how he performed, what he did. And what how he scammed his way out.
I have read it but he did volunteer. No one made him go to Vietnam. W got an inside pass to avoid going, yet that is okay?
I don’t like McCain either but I will always respect a man who volunteers to serve his country more than I respect a man who is a hawk after he evaded or avoided service.
It won’t alter who I vote for but a certain part of me will always respect a part of a person who volunteered.
I hate when Dems or Pubs disrespect those who went to defend us. I don’t like what Kerry did afterwards or his politics but he went when some of those that became his critics hid with phony deferments.

-——he did volunteer———
He is well known as a stereotype and is portrayed in the Movie In Harm’s Way. He volunteered because it was politically expedient and a necessity to career growth.
Then why didn’t all aspiring politicos do it? Why did some avoid it and then later strive to be perceived as tough, virile politicos?
Sorry, but I will always reserve some respect for anyone who volunteered. I don’t look down a bit at those who did not volunteer, unless they later tried to portray themselves as tough guys an guys like Kerry as weenies.
Never denigrate a man who went to fight for his country, especially if he got hurt. His politics are fair game but not his manhood.
