Whitewash ping

“Hillary Clinton has accepted all 29 recommendations.”

Let me begin by saying I cannot thank this review board enough. As it rightfully concludes, mistakes were made, and I am so grateful for this report and its recommendations on how we can do better. We can always do better.

And now that you have made these 29 recommendations-—such wise recommendations-—, we look forward to doing better and implementing these recommendations....well...I can’t speak for the future Sec State, but i am certain he will take these recommendations under the most serious advisement, and in the time I have left, I will act as quickly as possible to implement all of you recommendations.

I am so grateful to receive such sage advice. Our ambassadors deserve America’s finest security, and your report ensures the cover we need to demand more money in our budget so our sacrificing state employees and ex-Seals on a mission aren’t ever left twisting in the wind again, captive to a hostile foreign nation and an opportunistic political machine that will leave as many behind as needed to save its image.

Yes, mistakes were made, mistakes were made, and now we have been provided with a road map to guide us to do better. We can always do better. And, I assure you you, we will do better.

Although the report has so wisely and fairly cited no one for disciplinary action, we will smack the fingers of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security and the Bureau of Near East Affairs the report so convincingly scolded, and perhaps reshuffle a deck chair or two.

Fresh faces always make for fresh starts.

And if that is all the questions you have for me...WHAT? I can’t recall. That doesn’t square with my recollection. As you know, I am recovering from a recent concussion, so I apologize most profusely if my memory isn’t as sharp as I would want it to be to answer all of your questions because, as you know, I want to cooperate with you fully to ensure the mistakes made at Benghazi never happen again.
