To get around the stupid gas can problem, I visited some outdoor flea markets and bought up some of the old metal 1-gallon gas cans that were common 30 or 40 years ago. They still aren’t too hard to find.
That is good to know. I’d like to get some surplus jerry cans, but they have gotten uber-expensive and I’ve heard in the past that some service stations won’t let you fill them.

Exactly! The “safety” feature on the new gas cans have caused me to spill/waste more gas on the ground than the old “non safe” version! I too remove the spout and use a funnel. But I’m sure EPA will outlaw this practice as well or make it so you have to fill it through the “safety” spout.
He could’ve done the same job with a couple pistols he could’ve gotten anywhere. I keep my stuff locked up and I don’t even have kids, but I don’t think it would deter anything that much.

People can bluster and rant all they want, but the hard, cold reality is that a free and open society cannot exist in a population that has dedicated itself to hating God and removing His precepts from their private and public lives.
You can pass all the laws you want, but laws cannot change the heart of a man, and that’s the plain fact that people are assiduously avoiding, particularly the goddless, among whom rank the Democratic Party that openly rejected having the mere mention of God in their platform.
American society, Liberals mostly, have chosen to decouple society from Biblical standards and principles, and then they wonder how all the insanity that follows could happen. They have sown evil and thus they have loosed evil.
There is no mystery here.
