Well, the point being that Jared Laughner and James Holmes were ‘normal’ teens that later became heavy pot users and “changed” into what became clearly schizophrenic behavior.

I have seen that kind of thing in person. I have seen a girl who could fill out paperwork for her dad when she was a kid to being someone who can barely be bothered to read at all.

I would not be surprised to learn that he abused drugs and was on them at the time of this filming. His reasoning does not go from point A to point B at all.
Listened on sirius radio on the way home tonight. Fox News. Shep was all over the “FULL BODY ARMOR” again, much like the CO. theater Batman shooting. In that one, it turned out that it was merely a tactical vest and could have been ended by a single shot from a citizen carrying.
Sounds like this was a similar case.
Myself, I used to thoroughly read the instructions to a new board game for the rest of the family and then explain to everyone how to play. Now, on the very occasional time I start a new computer game, I barely have the patience to nail down the basics.
And, as for sobriety, I barely drink. [Not that I'm a teetotaler: far from it. The time just slips away.]
So, I think that the onset of "glorious puberty" has something to do with it. :)

I have expected a lot more islamofascist attacks at such places around the time of our Judeo-Christian holidays for years, and am pleasantly surprised that they are not using the Islamokazi tactics here that they have been employing in Israel for many years now.
Regardless of what weapons or tactics lunatic (including Islamic) terrorists choose to employ, I am not particularly attracted to large shopping malls or movie theaters - especially at this time of year.

Most malls have posted signs saying guns are not allowed on their property. This is why shooters go there; that and schools.
However, the most a mall can do to you is ask you to leave if they find out you have a gun. If someone else had been there with a gun, this guy might not have been able to shoot as many rounds as he did. Why don’t people understand that?

Yeah both Holmes and Loughner seem like schizo’s and there are quite a few indicators that the pot is causing it. You smoke the stuff and it loads up in the fatty parts in your brains for a month. Imagine what heavy pot use (like kids today that wake and bake, get home and smoke, and then when their parents go to bed bake until 4AM) will do to a still forming teenagers mind.
That’s the biggest lie being sold to teens right now. You smoke a hallucinagen that stays in your brain a month, but it doesn’t harm you at all? Get real.

Sadly, I do not have to imagine.
I have used pot heavily in my life before, among other drugs.
I’ve waked and baked, got home and smoked all that. Started when I was 16 with the bad kids down the street. When i was 27 I moved into the high quality department.
I’ve been sober a number of years now, but not as many as I would like to be honest.
I would say, based upon my personal experience with the drug, that heavy use of pot and even occasional use of pot depending on the quality of it does have distinct mental side effects.
I would say that mental instability is one of those side effects. I do not believe those effects are permanent, and they do subside once the drug use is abated, but not immediately.
However I also have to add that during my time of use I never wanted to do what these guys did. Perhaps the drug serves to further inflame mental problems that may already exist outside of any additional drug use.
Based upon Loughner’s erratic ramblings in that video, I also suspect other drugs in addition to pot, perhaps harder hallucinogens such as LSD or mushrooms.

That is why you put two rounds on center mass, and if the perp doesn't immediately stop and drop, you move your aim up just a little bit to follow up with one to the center of the head.

Yeah, I also have had experience with pot and have been sober for a looooong time. I feel that it has affected my memomry but little else.
I think that marijuana triggers schizophrenia in those who have mental sensitivity. The one black girl who flipped out in the classroom on that youtube video seems like a similar case. I really is strange because the high school video James Holmes and the Aurora massacre James Holmes look like two different people.
