(Memphis) Two robbery victims turn the tables on the man who tried to rob them. The victims, a man and woman were shot, but in the end its the robber who didnt make it out alive.
Twenty-two-year-old robbery suspect Darius Davis died Saturday. Police say he was shot as his victims tried to defend themselves. It happened early Saturday morning near North Watkins.
Im still a little shaken up about it, said Latasha Hodges, who was inside when the shooting started.
Memphis Police say Davis was attempting to rob a man and woman in a driveway in the 1100 block of W. Lexington Circle when he was shot and killed by one of his victims.
You just cant run up on somebody and try to rob them because you just dont what they have or what theyll do, said Hodges, whose sister is one of the victims. Im sad that he did die, but there is nothing we can do about it.

Hope the good guys are not hurt too badly. ‘Tis a good thing about the bad guy, one less criminal in the world.
Googling the image of Darius Davis got me dozens of mugshots of distinct individuals in multiple states. The moral of this? If your last name is Davis, give your son some other name.
“You just cant run up on somebody and try to rob them because you just dont what they have or what theyll do,

One less thug wanna-be...
...sadly necessary these days.
He was such a good boy, didn't run with gangs, was always polite and worked hard in school.....
Why? He tried to kill your sister!
The area this happened in, it was probably crooks against crooks. At least the robbing crook died
TO paraphrase Peter Reigert in “Animal House”,
“Darius, my man”.
Oops, wrong Darius. I love Darius Rucker the country singer.
“Darius....” ‘Nuff said.
“Darius....” ‘Nuff said.
Not only did the male victim kill the suspect, he took a bullet meant for his female friend. Now that is a real man.
And that’s why we never go into Memphis. sad.........
Not to say that any part of Memphis is good but North Memphis was bad when I lived there in the late 80’s. I lived in the Hickory Ridge area.
