Just like Clintoon, Obama appoints people who have no skill or education to do the job. A cabinet and czars that ‘look like’ America. A little intelligence and experience would go a long way. I actually hope Anna “Nuclear” Wintour IS nominated. Not confirmed, but nominated. Someone like her — accustomed to absolute, fawning, worshipful obedience for decades — will not be able to get through a routine hearing without an obvious spasm of un-”diplomat”-ic temper.

Plus, of course, she likely knows next to nothing about Foggy Bottom or other matters that career diplomats would know. Just that “the grounds” are lovely and that ambassadors get their asses kissed.
