Jerry Brown, 25, is the person who died. Brown is listed as a linebacker on the teams practice squad.

Costas will demand we outlaw cars.

Geeze two weeks in a row with dead football players, this season is starting to get a little depressing.

Costas will blame the American Automotive Manufacturers Association; guarantee, he will find no fault in either the driver or the passenger - if only there hadn’t been cars for them to drive . . .

Another tragedy that could have been avoided. R.I.P. Jerry Brown.

Not sure what the point of that was. Seems kind of stupid and rude to be putting on a thread about somebody getting killed.

Sports columnist Mike Lupica, who is a remarkably thoughtful/knowledgeable authority on every other topic as well, will write a column blaming the Tea Party because they opposed federal funding for the building of mass transit as a replacement for cars.

Seriously. Besides, football rules. As a diehard Steelers fan, I can’t wait to go to London next year to root on my team against the Vikes at Wembley. Should be a great show.
BTW, sad to hear of this tragedy.
