Did Jovan Belcher, the 62 228 pound linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs, need a gun to kill his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins? How about to commit suicide?
--snip--
Whether people like Costas like it or not the facts speak for themselves: Murder rates consistently rise when guns are banned. This is not just a US phenomenon in places such as Washington, DC and Chicago, but has been observed worldwide. When guns are banned, even in island nations such as the UK, Ireland, and Jamaica, the pattern has been the same. The problem is that gun bans disarm law-abiding good people, not criminals. With disarmed victims, crime is easier to commit.
Gun control advocates frequently point out that the majority of murders are committed by acquaintances, trying to make people fearful of letting relatives have access to guns. But this claim regarding domestic violence irresponsibly makes people afraid of those who they have no reason to be afraid of. What isnt mentioned by these same advocates is that most of these acquaintances are not people who are emotionally close to each other. They involve rival gang members who know each other. Acquaintance murders also include prostitutes and their pimps or Johns as well as cab drivers who are murdered by their fares.
To put it bluntly, criminals are not typical citizens. About 90 percent of adult murderers have an adult criminal record. They tend to have low IQs and long histories of social problems. Murders are also very heavily concentrated among minorities in urban areas. Over 70 percent of murders occur in about 3 percent of the counties in the US. Even if our country passed laws banning guns, most of these murderers are not the kind of people who are going to voluntarily turn in their weapons...

A gun is the best method. Inserting the bullets manually will usually not work well, but he was pretty big guy.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Happy New Year, Mr. Lott! Keep up the great work!
The truth is Costas and the media were involved in an NFL cover up of a violent criminal and now they are blaming guns...
Just like Obama is a big cover up that will not end well...
And in those countries that ban guns, such as Soviet Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, former soviet countries, Nazi Germany, etc., the PEOPLE WERE SLAVES AND VICTIMS OF THEIR OWN GOVERNMENTS!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, right. Vote for Obama and a free $37 check. The day he and his one world government decides that you are one of the selected ones to be culled from the human population, then keep your mouths shut. Stupid idiots do not realize what they have done to themselves and the rest of us. Fools aplenty.
Yeah, and what about the guy that pushed in front of a subway the other day? Shouldn’t we be talking about banning subways?
No- how about banning arms?
Organized crime ought to be in favor of gun control, for two reasons:
1) it would reduce their job-related injuries
2) it would increase the prices for illegal weapons
Costas is a leftist elitist jock sniffer, who quoted a column written by an affirmative-action race-baiter. The football player had a long record of violent behavior which was excused simply because he was a jock. Since nobody wanted to tell the truth, they blamed guns (and somehow, Whitey).
He had brain damage from his chosen profession and is not resposible for his actions,,, Her family will sue the NFL . . .
And the guy who stabbed his father’s girlfriend to death and then went to his father’s classroom and shot him in the head with a bow and arrow? Then he stabbed himself to death? This happened in Wyoming, I believe the day before the Belcher event. So no knives? No bows? Before guns were even invented, people found ways to commit crimes. Costas is vile.
Murder should be illegal and people should be prevented from committing it. If murderers did not have access to murder victims, there would be no murder. It takes two people to have a murder/suicide. If there had been only one person, we could have prevented at least half of this tragedy. Banning ll human interaction is the only way to be sure.
Well, there’s at least one guy out that that is waiting to piss on Belcher’s grave for all the harm he did to his family since Belcher was 12 years old.
All that aside, he murdered two people including himself that we know of. Belcher. He’s not a victim, he’s a murderer. Take his DNA beofore he’s put in the dirt for worm food and find out if there’s any other connections to other murders.
Interesting!

See Penn and Teller’s program “Bullsh*t!” on gun control. Season one or two I think — netflix or imdb will point you in the right direction.
Anyhow, they aired part of an interview with a convict in prison about what he feared most. He said potential victims with guns.
If you don’t mind the language see the whole series. My personal favorites were gun control, gorebal warming, and walmart; I loved seeing Penn rip Al Norman a new (*).
