Thanks for thread A.B. Your Tide certainly had hands full of Bulldog, but now gets to take on The Luck of the Irish.

Ran across this nice 4:48 tribute to Reagan:

Hey, if she can go on all five and get away with lying to the nation—where four Americans were murdered by Al Qaeda; not a mob of Muslims ignited to rage over a slander of their religion—surely Tim should have a shot at a couple of whoppers, too.

Given that we witnessed her lying... Let us be ready for Tim’s. See how many you can find!

Morning AB, All.

Love your graphic AB. As always, thank you AB for doing this thread. Won’t be back except much later today as it is my church’s ten year anniversary and I am hip deep in the festivities.

Not that I mind but I’m nervous, and a bit excited.

First, I was on the 10 year planning committee. I did a lot of work on it too, majorly serving as secretary, taking the little puter to meetings, typing the meeting minutes, later proofing and sending out. Last eight months been involved in this.

Second, come to find out that since I am on the Finance Council (indeed, though I am no Kabar, I was an accountant for 30 years or so, have served on the church Finance council off and on over the past ten years, so church hires new business manager they call me back, wise move. I know my stuff)....Finance Council members will be serving as “greeters” in the Parish Life Center...which includes me.

Pastor spending $5,000 just on whores de ovaries, TV screens around PLC showing history of church, big plans....and...THE BISHOP IS COMING!

So here I am serving as a Guide, also working on committee and expected to help out in that regard.

Than choir director announces since Bishop is coming big day for choir. At that point we have practice two nights a week, singing BIG BIG songs...we even have a trumpet playing with us to “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee”...also snare drum, xylophone. Also band is playing.

Choir director then , heh, assigns a solo to the altos in the choir. Welp, there’s really only two altos that sing with any kind of loudness, one of which is me.

The other is a beautiful singer who reaches all kind of high notes that I can only aspire to.

But while I might not be a soloist singer, I am a very good choir singer. My range might only be three notes but I sing those three notes very well.

So this song the choir director has the altos leading off with....once again this is de facto TWO people...is right in my three note range. The other alto singer with the beautiful voice, well you don’t think I was daunted now did you?

Last Thursday we practice. Soprano comes up....made my day...”You altos sound so pretty in that solo part. Your voices just meld so well, you sound like angels.”

And so we do. Cause I recorded one of our practice sessions, even played for my husband and daughter, and you know what....WE SOUND GREAT!

The lady with the beautiful voice....that voice is held up and supported by my own tenor type of tone and hey, I thought it sounded good. Made my day when another choir member put it so well.

But I’m a bit nervous, folks, could hardly sleep. Had my hair colored and highlighted, must wear black skirt and white blouse, bought new.

Wish me luck and maybe later today I’ll be back.

How can Timmy defend what his boss has proposed? I can’t bring myself to watch. The hell with it.

I think the biggest flip of the finger from Obama/Gerthner et al, is that removal of congressional approval re the debt ceiling.

That is so gob-smacking ALL of congress, and the American people. The pubs ought to walk out and make the Democrats vote on it.

But don’t mind me cause I’m still reeling from the election. Now, just cause MY sensibilities are offended by an administration that wants to take over the world, I have learned that the majority, maybe not a big majority but enough to win an election, don’t think at all like I do. In fact, I doubt that the audacity of asking for congress to give up its power of the purse strings even registered on the minds of the “majority” of this country.

Been reading and listening all week to various pundits and talk radio hosts about what the pubs should do and by me, absolutely NOBODY has the answer.

Well I’ll tell you what to do.....CHANGE WHAT YOU’RE DOING!

A new party has to be established, the Tea Party. Take your time, get used to the idea. Cause those Blue Bloods elected GOP are simply not up to the task, they’ve proven it time and again with bad candidates and by accepting the Democrat talking points.

That’s what to do.....

....maybe more later.

With 40 days or so to gameplan, it’s hard to imagine Saban not disgnosing ND.

That was some coffee I spilled in my lap, instead.

Sad that our politics and government has simply become a matter of “how many lies can I tell today?”

The lies don’t even have to be elegant, coherent or without self-contradiction. Instead, its the old KBG playbook. The more told, the less likely they’ll be defrocked.

Quantity, Boris, quantity.

I could not agree more. But will it happen? And if so, will it happen soon enough to make any difference at all? And HOW do we make it happen?

Ugh. I’m 63—and if I were 36 I’d probably be too old.

Drag it kicking and screaming to the Right. Now our county is getting my posts once a week and am educating them on what Conservatism is.

The establishment is not happy.

Good question, how the Tea Party will rise.

IF it should rise.

First, I’d sit back and see what the current crop of pubs do. I dunno, maybe they’ll surprise us, maybe they’ll grow a backbone or suddenly fight for the country their children and grandchildren will inherit.

With each failure on the part of the Blue Bloods, if it comes to that, the need for a Tea Party will become apparent. Now don’t go telling me a third party will reduce GOP influence. As if it isn’t bad already. They gave us Dole, McCain, HW Bush, and Dubya....who never bothered to defend himself-causing more damange than most anything.

We need a leader, of course, and as of now I see only two people possibly filling the spot....Limbaugh or Levin.

Oh the new Tea Party won’t have much power but we’ll know that going in. we’re already outnumbered by Dems and the Blue Blood GOP will drift more to where they’ve been drifting for yea many years....to the left.

But at least us Tea Party types, who carry this country on our back, will HAVE A VOICE IN THINGS.

It’s what I think will happen if the elected GOP fails at the task assigned them.

I wish them well.

When a Republican is interviewed, the shows almost always start with a video clip of a Democrat criticizing the R in some pertinent way. Just a ‘fair and balance’ thing! Russert was a master and all have taken to the ploy.

I wonder how many of today’s five interviews of Timmy will air the McConnell’s guffaw? All of them, some of them, or was it a condition of having his appearance that the guffaw be “off the table.”
