11/29 - UPDATED. DCRTV hears that DC-based political talker Laura Ingraham (right) could soon return to the airwaves via a brokered deal with DC area talker WTNT, 730 AM/102.9 FM. Ingraham, who had been heard until early this week on WTNT, recently announced that she's leaving her syndicator, TRN. But, we're told, she does not yet have another national radio distribution deal set up. Sources tell us that she's been talking to Clear Channel's Premiere and Cumulus. That leaves her with the short-term possibility of buying time from WTNT and doing her show from its Fairfax studios, allowing her to at least be heard in the National Capital market. Ingraham could show up in the late morning slot at Metro Radio's WTNT as soon as mid-December, we're told. More as we hear it.....
She would be welcome on cumulus, especially WBAP.
Move that Ben Ferguson butthead to late 8 slot.
She’s a hard hitter.. A ‘NO B.S.’ truth talker. I love her!
A MESSAGE TO MY LISTENERS
Posted by Laura
After more than 9 years with the distributor Talk Radio Network, I decided it was time to move on. After much thought and reflection, I have decided to pursue my first loves--modern dance and the xylophone. In the highly unlikely event that these efforts do not prove fruitful, I intend to return to radio.
Seriously--to the more than 300 stations that carry the Laura Ingraham Show and to all my loyal listeners, I feel the time is right to expand and retool my radio program and to explore other syndication options, which I am now actively pursuing. During this brief hiatus, my team and I will continue to deliver thought-provoking and entertaining analysis via my website lauraingraham.com and twitter @IngrahamAngle. And of course, I'll be doing my regular appearances on Fox News. I anticipate making an announcement concerning the show in the near future. Stay tuned!

We’ll see where she winds up. DCRTV (D.C. radio and TV).org also says:
>>New Syndie Radio Deal For Ingraham? - 11/27 - Is DC-based talk radio personality Laura Ingraham on the loose?...Tom Taylor, in his Tuesday radio biz newsletter, says rumors are afloat that she might be jumping to Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio, which is said to be close to signing a big-name talk personality. She could pop up with a new package soon - perhaps a combination of over-the-air Premiere and online iHeartRadio, Taylor adds. Clear Channel’s Premiere syndicates fellow righties Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
I would hope she gets a deal, and both those
companies are huge and could get her stations all over
the country.
-modern dance and the xylophone
LOL!!!
Our local radio station dropped ALL talk radio. Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, etc and went ESPN Sports all day. YUK! I see Michael Savage is now on Clear Channel Premier. I sure hope Laura gets on there. I rather enjoyed her.
Savage seems to have started a trend. Interesting that these talkers think the market is ripe for sweatening their deal.
Wonder what’s going on in radio land.
She’s OK in my book and I’m sticking to that....at least until next week
Actually Savage went to Cumulus (Imus, Geraldo, Huckabee, Levin, Red Eye Radio)
As for sports taking over stations—companies feel they can make more money with sports. Currently there are 5 major
sports networks:
ESPN/ESPN Deportes
CBS Sports (in assoc. with Cumulus)
NBC Sports (in assoc. with Dial Global)
Fox Sports (synd. by Clear Channel-Premiere)
Yahoo! Sports
Recent format changes:
KPOJ Portland, owned by Clear Channel—
from progressive talk to Fox Sports
(Clear Channel deep in debt by the way, cutting jobs..)
KFNQ Seattle, owned by CBS
Prob will go from prog. talk to CBS sports
(moonbats upset about both)
WXKS Boston, owned by Clear Channel—
from Conservative talk to all comedy (Rush was on
there; he went back to the more powerful WRKO owned
by Entercom)
Anyway many stations are now going into sports because
of the big money and these companies are flipping formats...
in some cases they feel sports is a broader demo, age-wise etc. They feel more people care more about football
than Benghazi. Political talk radio is supposedly for
people growing older—and a “less desirable demo”
They want to reach younger people who want sports talk.
It’s business and this is the bottom line. (Naturally the libs feel it’s all political. “Bain-Romney-Clear Channel!”
KPOJ, see above, changed mere days after the election. Ironically enough the first thing they went to was a ballgame where one coach was Moochelle Obama’s brother.
IT’S A CONSPIRACY!
I miss her sultry voice already.
Not where I live.
Scroll down a ways to see his time slot.
“Brokered” = she’s paying for the time.
That part is hard to believe. She is far too talented for that.
Hey, Silvie, FYI...
Before blasting me, please answer this:
Would any fuss be made if Rush Limbaugh's # 1 fill in host was a pro abortion homosexual? And what if Rush was single, adopted 3 children, and was best pals with this man?
She is good but she has killed herself working with BOR.
Thank you all very much!! Woo hoo!! And now less than $1.9k to go!! We can do this. Let's put this baby to bed!! |
I certainly agree esp with the why isn’t she married bit
