On the Harvesting of Votes

David Horowitz brings us a very disturbing report on the extent to which the traditional harvesting of votes by parties has degenerated into massive, uncontrollable ballot manipulation by Democrats.

Traditional "vote harvesters" have as their mission the gathering of "... unthinking collectives of potential voters -- nursing home residents, college students, skid-row dwellers, recent immigrants -- and get them to vote[.]"

Mr. Horowitz is a red-diaper baby and a former "Marxist intellectual"-turned-militant conservative who here recounts a conversation he had with his "... brother-in-law, Henry, who has lived most of his life in a home for the mentally disabled and although now in his 40s, has the intelligence level of a 6-year-old."

"Obama saved me," he said to me out of the blue. "What do you mean?" "I voted for him for president and now he's saving me."

I was taken aback by these words, since Henry had no idea who Obama was, or what a president might be, and would be unable to fill out a registration form let alone get to the polling place by himself.

So I asked him how he knew that and how he had registered and cast his vote. In halting, impeded speech he told me that the people who take care of him at the home filled out "the papers" to register him to vote, told him how Obama cared for him, even taught him the Obama chants, and then took him to the polling place to vote. They did the same for all of the mentally disabled patients in their care, approximately 60 in all.

On the Harvesting of Votes

Vote fraud and manipulation reached new heights in the recent election. What do you expect the GOP to do about it? I personally expect ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The GOP is too worried about their tee times and the next cocktail party. Oh sure, there might be one or two cases where some moron was caught so red-handedly that they will have to prosecute, but the results will be a couple of years down the road. In the meantime, faith in our entire process is tremendously weakened.

The next step is a banana republic with a socialist dictator - we may already be there!

I hate the RATS for being so crooked.
I hate the Republicans for being cowards.
Right now I am a man without a country. Even though I have a REAL birth certificate.

We've come along way. What was once commonly held to be reasonable and prudential is today regarded as cruel and unfair.

If you were to say to someone that "morons," "imbeciles," and "idiots" (former medical terms enshrined in statutes and state constitutions) should not have the right to vote, you'd get a heated argument.

Even if they person merely responded, "Why not?", could you really argue it, given how uninformed the electorate is?

So, I’m guessing both of you volunteered to monitor special registration deputies in their activities in the weeks leading up to election day this year?

This stuff happens at a local level. It takes a local organization to monitor the other side, and stop the exploitation of those incapable of understanding the issues. Since you guys are so vociferous in your criticism of the GOP, I’m guessing its because you both stepped up to volunteer with your county party as poll watchers during absentee/early voting, and on election day, right?

we were saddled with a candidate, chosen by Rockefeller republicans, the Dhimmicrat party and the MSM, and a deeply flawed primary system.

and you want ME to monitor elections to see that the guy I had to hold my nose to vote for was not hoodwinked.

PLEASE!

the Republican party needs replacing. it is not a solution it is the problem.

Certainly a creeping problem that will reach critical mass if good people sit still and do nothing. Thank you for posting the article. I intend to work very hard on the election process for the foreseeable future. It will certainy keep me busy post-retirement ;-).

I agree there was massive voter fraud, but the real distrubing part of all this really rest with the stupidity of many of those legit voters who believe Obama is going to give them something.

No reports of voting irregularities in my state, Louie, we have positive voter ID requirements, in spite of what Holder and 0bammy wanted. I suggest you take your innuendo elsewhere.
