Cant it be just a great story.

Not around here.
yeah, i’d like to see that follow up.
Here is the link that I read about the homeless guy getting lots of shoes that day. It wasn’t so much as a follow up as just comments from people that see the man around town on a regular basis. You’ll see the comments at the bottom of the article. Last couple of paragraphs.

This doesn’t mean that I don’t think what the cop did was wonderful. He has a kind soul and was trying to do something good. I can appreciate that! It really is the little things like this that have the potential to truly make a difference. Scam or no scam.
Sadly, I think you are correct.
I just saw a story today that said the man is walking around shoeless again! In an interview he talks about being on Youtube and Facebook and wants to know “where is HIS piece of the pie.” Now, how would a truly homeless person have any clue what Facebook and Youtube is and how would he know he is on it and is a popular draw?
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.
I’ve noticed that you see trends among the homeless in various cities. For instance, one year in several different cities, I saw several of them carrying signs that said “Need beer. Why lie?”
I’m sure we will now see many shoeless during the winter to get sympathy, now that the word spreads showing it works.
Remember the “Will work for food” signs a few years ago?
