Would you stop criticizing the leadership we have remaining, grow your own pair of balls, support the man's actions with positive comments, and show some faith that good will eventually triumph over this evil mess. Get over the fact that half the people in this country are idiots to ever vote for Obama who is a traitor to the nation. Support the speaker in his fight against the Senate democrats in any way possible and encourage him to stand firm and hold the line. Ignore the media and never give up the fight for the nation and freedom.

We have to ignore the MSM; and quit “hoping” they’ll change. It’s futile; for whatever reason, and the idea of ever being “popular” with them is a waste. MSM is a waste.

One problem with conservatism is it tends to be backward looking. We’re not going to return to the past. It isn’t possible. We win when we’re future looking and bring that positive vision into play.

Romney failed to convince American voters that he was a viable alternative to Obama. Women particularly rejected his message. Why?

Nicely said, I completely agree.

OK, I see your point. We can “trust” Boehner but will he “verify”, in Reagan’s words, that trust?

Well said.

We never support these guys when they try to make at least a stab at doing the right thing, so why should they care about our opinion (which is always negative)? Negativity has gotten us where we are today, which is not a good thing.

I understand the skepticism of many here and I do share that, but if Boehner does the right thing, then we need to support him like you said, but we still need to hold his feet to the fire and make sure he goes through with it. Maybe we should all call him and tell time to not cave and make a stand for us.

Support the man's actions? What actions? Talk is cheap, and Boehner talks a great talk; it's in the follow-through where he fails. I heard lots of great talk in the debt limit negotiations. All that great talk got us nowhere. That's why you see all this negativity and cynicism on FR.

I'll get excited when I actually see some results.

Dittos I can’t stand boehner but I also see no value it kicking him when he say or does something right. Carrot and stick rather than 24x7 cattle prod.

Ok, Boehner here ya go - chomp down on this here carrot. Good wabbit. I for one do appreciate it when you say something right even if it does occur right before a cave when you sell us out to the dems (oops broke my own rule). :-)

Agree completely.

We have thousands of keyboard "heroes" here on FR but how many put themselves up to be exposed to ridicule like Boehner does on a daily basis.

It amazes me how often an anti-Obama thread is posted and posters end up bashing Boehner and/or the GOP.

The GOP has been holding the line lately. And Boehner did NOT raise taxes last year although under considerable pressure to do so.

I'd rather have Boehner leading than the snarky posters on FR, that's for sure!

Bravo!

But Boehner’s threat was entirely necessary and is a bold action to save the country.

By making this statement, he has drawn a line in the sand that will definitely discourage some democrat senators that are on the fence from support Reid.

The Freepers that are crowing “so-and-so is going to cave, so I’ll criticize him before he actually does” is pure self-aggrandizing.
