Give Obama what he wants: Implosion is exactly what America needs in order to find its fiscal way

The best thing the Republicans could do right now is to give Obama everything that he wants. Those of us who think, rather than feel, understand that Obama’s course will end up with the United States going bankrupt, because there isn’t enough money on the planet, much less the US, to pay for all the goodies the Democrats want to bestow on their favored constituents.

Just to give you an example of how hopeless the situation is, the combined net worth of the Forbes list of America’s 400 wealthiest people is just over $1.7 trillion. So if you confiscate 100% of that wealth you would just have enough money to cover this year’s federal budget deficit and next year you would have to confiscate the combined wealth of tens of thousands more Americans to cover next year’s deficit.

Clearly, raising taxes on “The Rich” will not even come close to achieving its stated purpose, namely reducing the deficit.

And while Republican politicians are posturing liked testosterone crazed Sumo Wrestlers about making sure entitlements are reduced if they agree to tax increases, the truth is that Republicans, who are currently consumed with self-loathing, will cave on tax increases without spending cuts.

Best thing they could do is to just rubber stamp everything that Obama and the Dems are demanding because the sooner all their ambitious demands are met; the sooner the country will implode.

And implosion is exactly what America needs in order to find its fiscal way. Drug addicts, alcoholics, recovery, hitting rock-bottom

For drug addicts or alcoholics to have even the slightest chance at recovery, what’s needed is to hit rock-bottom, to experience that searing realization that the wall of oblivion is about to collide full force with their nose, to totally scrape bottom and realize that’s death staring

Maybe Vermont is still green.

Oh yes, Vermont is very "green" these days: It has been infiltrated and colonized by New York City types for decades by now. (Increasingly, Maine too.) If anything, the intellectual and moral climate in Vermont is even worse than in Massachusetts....

Outside of the Metrowest complex organized around Boston, Massachusetts is still pretty "rural" in most areas. Out in the western part of the state, the wealthy "upscale" raise Alpacas so as to qualify for Massachusetts and federal income tax credits/deductions. Evidently these magnificent wool-bearing critturs are all the fashion in elite circles these days.

The self-appointed "elite" of our society are the greatest exploiters of federal tax policy known to man. And then with their next breath, they tell us how concerned they are about the well-being of the Middle Class — which when you boil it all down is the class that pays all the freight in our society.

So it's okay, you see, for wealthy intellectuals living upscale lives in western Massachusetts [like Gov. Patrick] to let Middle Class taxpayers (1) reduce their tax burdens; (2) thereby to subsidize their "lifestyles."

betty: “when you have chaos in the streets; when you have massive theft of citizens’ private property and nobody so much as gives a peep about it; when the gangsta “Chicago Way” has utterly infiltrated the institutions of government — how can you reasonably believe a “new party” is any kind of answer when it is the culture itself that has become utterly corrupt?”

Spirited: Agreed. Since what is wrong with our society is spiritual, a new ‘political’ party going on and on about issues, partisan politics, strategies, messages, coalitions, etc. will solve nothing.

The spiritual illnesses-—i.e., Universal Evolutionism, philosophical materialism, secularism, subjectivism-— killing our nation killed Orthodox Russia. The disaster that has befallen us, said Solzhenitsyn, has happened because we have forgotten God.

Over eighty years ago Rev. C. Leopold Clarke, a lecturer at a London Bible college foresaw the breakup of Christendom due to widespread acceptance of evolution.

Evolution said Clarke,

“(is) the greatest and most active agent of moral and spiritual disintegration. It is a battering-ram of unbelief—a sapping and mining operation that intends to blow Religion sky-high....Already a tremendous effect, on a wide scale, has been produced by the impact of this teaching—an effect which can only be likened to the … collapse of foundations. … The faith of the Christian Church and of the average Christian has had, and still has, its foundation as much in the [truth] of the account of Creation, as in that of the person of Christ …It is high time that the Church separated herself from the humiliating entanglement attending her desire to be thought up to date, and to escape the charge of ignorance. What, after all, have the custodians of Divine Revelation to do making terms with speculative Biology, which has, and can have, no message of comfort or help to the soul?”

Clarke likened evolution to the teaching of another spirit and added,

“...of course...the “falling away” of Christendom from the faith of God could not proceed while the Bible held its rightful place in the judgment of the generation. It has been displaced, as was foretold [2 Thess. 2:11], by the invasion of the modern intellect with the “strong delusion that shall believe a lie.” There is no evidence against the Bible, but there is the violent prejudice of the modern spirit and the modern cast of mind—the spirit that reckons God Himself to be out of date.” (Clarke, C. L., Evolution and the Breakup of Christendom, Marshall, Morgan & Scott Ltd, London, 1930, 271 pages)

In “Obama’s Soviet Mistake,” Russian writer Xavier Lerma writes that President Vladimir Putin could never have imagined anyone so ignorant or so willing,

“…to destroy their people like Obama much less seeing millions vote for someone like Obama. They read history in America don’t they? Alas, the schools in the U.S. were conquered by the Communists long ago and history was revised thus paving the way for their Communist presidents.” (Pravda.ru, 19.11.2012 )

Russia lost its’ civil war with the Communists and millions of Russians, including around 30,000,000 Christians,

“..suffered torture and death for almost 75 years under the tyranny of the United Soviet Socialist Republic.” However, “Russians survived with a new and stronger faith in God and ever growing Christian Church.” (ibid)

As their faith in God grows stronger together with an ever growing, vibrant Christian Church, our supposedly “enlightened, progressive, secular, evolutionary scientific” culture withers on the vine in tandem with a Church falling away into heresy, apostasy and apathy.

No, a new political party is definitely not the answer!

There is no evidence against the Bible, but there is the violent prejudice of the modern spirit and the modern cast of mind — the spirit that reckons God Himself to be out of date.

But how can an eternal God ever be "out of date?"

Answer: The eternal God isn't, and can't be, "out of date." To say otherwise is to claim that there is no pervasive, lasting order in the universe. In this scenario, the universe reduces to mindless, meaningless causal collisions of near-neighbor massive bodies. But if that's "all there is," then nothing has meaning in the universe, nor in human experience.

Of course, this is precisely what Darwin's theory teaches: Everything that occurs in life, in the universe, is a random walk to nowhere.

BTW, it's not only theologians who object to what Darwin has wrought in the human mindscape. Ludwig von Bertalanffy, eminent mathematician and pioneer of complex systems theory, was deploring the social/cultural effects of Darwin's theory back in the 1930s. He saw very clearly that Darwin's theory was a solvent designed to dissolve the very basis of civil society itself.

I would only wish to add here, that men who hate their fellow human beings are the very ones who have first rejected God.

Why would anybody want to reject God?

"If God does not exist, then everything is permitted." These words, attributed to Ivan Karamazov (by his brother Dmitri, in Book Four, Chapter 12 of Dostoevsky's magisterial The Brothers Karamazov) tell you everything you need to know about the human revolt against any sense of limit, or restraint, in human nature itself.

Ivan was pointing out that (in his imagination at least) God stands between us and the fulfillment of our (basest) wishes. So, what do you do??? How do you remove this irritating "pebble" from one's shoe? Why, you just imaginatively "kill off God" and consequently be done with any sense of any Limit appertaining to human beings.

To put it into other words, such a man is jealous of God, and would be God himself.

But such a man is also, thereby, a FOOL, a "Nabal," a man who "says in his heart: There is no God." And thus cuts off the very existential branch on which he himself sits, on which his very life depends.

It seems the inmates have acquired the keys to the lunatic asylum. That doesn't mean the entire American populace is insane. It just means the fictive "majority" of the last election IS.

The minority — people who see, for instance, that the Declaration of Independence is the quintessential organic law of the United States later translated into the text of the constitutional law of the United States — continues to hold the vision and intent of the Framers close to heart.

However, it appears we are "outnumbered" by an insatiable mob-majority of morons who believe that the money necessary to preserve their "lifestyle" can be printed out of thin air, or taken away from the productive members of society ad infinitum — and there is absolutely NO downside to such an expectation.

To put it mildly, these people haven't got a clue about how the world — and economic systems — work. I gather they will have to learn the hard way. I'm sure they won't like the lessons learned thataway.

But they voted the way they did. They deserve to know exactly WHAT they voted for.

And so I hope the Pubbies will just get out of their way. Let them have what they said they want. Then maybe they'll find out that Captain Zero has been lying to them, too.

Stay tuned! We absolutely do live in "interesting times!"

The american people generally have been “bewitched”..
“Drugged” by some ideological Alice in Wonderland obsession..

-OR- simply been out-smarted by a Marxian scam....
The scourging of the gene pool seems to have begun..
Where it will end is the things “dreams are not made of”..
Reality is very very real..

You being a Texan, what do you think of Beck’s call for folks to move to Texas?

He's a smart man. Texas offers many opportunities for an independent person - among them conservative governance, good economy, no state income tax, space and the freedom that goes with it. Did I mention space?

Texans are glad to be Texans - as soon as you cross over the state line, the roads improve, people are friendly, Texas state flags appear on everything from flag poles to coffee cups.

As the reporter said "Don't ever ask someone if they're from Texas. If they are, they'll tell you. And if not, it'll just embarrass them."

But the fact is, while my husband's and my elderly parents are still living, we won't be moving anywhere.

I can relate. We are also very busy with elder care. Indeed, both the elderly cousins are here now - that's why I've not been posting much.

You would love Texas I think!

When this world comes to face with such economic devastation and anarchy as you describe, we Christians will either have been graduated ahead of it or we'll be saying "Maranatha, Jesus!"

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. - Rev 3:10

Thank you for sharing your concerns and insights, dear MHGinTN!

If the people are disordered, if they are "bad," do not expect the parties they belong to, or the governments they elect to be any better than they are.

That is the heart of it, dearest sister in Christ!

Thank you so very much for your wonderful essay-posts!

LOLOL!!! Yes, potbelly pigs at least. (Not sure about "fainting goats.")

Unfortunately, my elderly Mom ran over a pet potbelly pig a few years back, and the poor little crittur met his demise. Thank goodness, Mom (now 95) took herself "off the road" last year, though she still has a valid drivers license. :^)

Oh, she sure did. Simply awful.... She was so sorry for the loss of life, and the loss of a dear family pet.

Still, the crittur had suddenly bolted out into the street, and Mom was unable to avoid contact.

Stuff happens.

I've been saying this since the election. It is the ONLY hope for the GOP...and more importantly the country.

The dims certainly have the excuses lined up...with the MSM ready to direct their message...when the economy fails. It will sound something like this: "We had a plan...the GOP stone-walled it...and made us compromise. If we had been allowed to work our full plan none of this would have happened." The MSM will run a full court press with this message...and the idiot sheeple will buy it.

BANK ON IT.
