WASHINGTON It would be natural for state and city officials to talk about rebuilding after the devastation of the New York City area by Hurricane Sandy.
But what is catching the eye and ear of those who have read The Harbinger and viewed The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment is the similarity of the remarks to those that reverberate throughout the bestselling book and movie and how they echo the words of the leaders of ancient Israel before that nation was judged and destroyed.
First it was New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who said at the site of Ground Zero: This is the Ground Zero site. This is a monument to human capacity and human endurance. And, this is New Yorkers way of saying were not going to give up. Were going to come back and we will. This city will rebuild and the state will rebuild, and I believe will be the better for it.
It was a message all-too-familiar from U.S., state and city leaders in the wake of the 9/11 attack: We will rebuild. We will come back stronger.
Te words mimicked sometimes with precision those of ancient Israel in Isaiah 9:10: The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycamores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars.

Rebuilding in an area that is likely to get hit again is stupid.
Like they rebuilt the World Trade Centers?
Read the book....I am still trying to digest it spiritually....
While I certainly agree with its overall premise, that God wants America to return to Him in repentance and contritution, I find that some of the harbingers are a bit of a stretch (just a little too coincidental).
The Harbinger: Fact or Fiction by David James points out the weak points quite clearly (I have not read this book but have read various synopses and reviews...and find it presumed to be a very careful and credible rebuttal of 'The Harbinger').
there’s a movie?
