No Republican has any issues with the need to struggle for acceptance. The Republican viewpoint is very much accepted for its perspective as an American institution. While it may be a political anathema for a majority of Americans, the issue of "acceptance" simply doesn't apply.
Whereas where lesbians are concerned "acceptance" takes on an entirely different meaning.

two different definitions. conservatives know the difference between toleance and acceptance. the left, they demand tolerance == acceptance, and accpetance == active promotion.

she keeps quiet about her sexuality, especially after being fired from a job after her boss found out. She'd be safe in New York City, except for her political beliefs, which are not protected by law. The Democrat "supermajority" gives employers, and everyone else, the feeling they can do anything to bully and persecute Republicans and no one will care.
