In post-election analyses, the 11-point drop in the president's support among 18- to 29-year-olds indicates that particular voting bloc is falling away from Barack Obama on major issues.
-------
One polling trend that isn't going in Barack Obama's favor after the presidential election is the drop in his support among young voters. Even though it might not be as unbelievable as winning 100 percent of the vote in 59 Philadelphia precincts ─ and nine Cleveland precincts ─ an 11-point swing in support away from Obama is lifting some eyebrows on both sides of the political spectrum ... particularly because that swing comes from the president's strongest segment of voters.
This 11-percent drop in support among the 18- to 29-year-old age group is the largest drop in that demographic in U.S. history for an incumbent president who won re-election.
It begs the question: To what can this largest demographic swing be attributed?

The biggest load of crap is to blame others. The one and only person to lose the election is ROMNEY! He was the liberal who sucked! Get off blaming others as you sound like Obama. Romney lost because he has zero core. He flip flopped on many issues and was liberal on the rest. ROMNEY LOST THIS EASY ELECTION!!!!!
“Isn’t it about time to conduct a broad and deep criminal investigation of these 100% PA and OH districts”
What happened in these same districts in 2008 ???
What did McCain/Palin get 4 years ago, compare side by side with 2012, district by district.
Obama would have won regardless of Ohio and Pennsylvania. Obama won by so many electorals that it was very embarrassing....even Romney should hide forever.
As though we don’t know that this was a stolen election. The Obamedia want us to believe that Blacks, Mexicans, and immoral young women put our first Communist president into office for the next four years, but we know it was really Axlerod and his crooked voting machines. Because they cheated, Obama has no credibility and will be the worst failure in the history of the presidency.
I did not get the full story ,but if some FReeper from Houston did hear all of this - Please reply with more details. Thanks.
another memory fragment- the truck stop could have been on US Hwy 75 because i thought the caller said Denison Texas
that route takes you more to a NE direction
We know there was ridicuous voter fraud. We knew it way prior to the primaries. Romney couuld have been a great president, but he was a terrible candidate.
The GOP was not listening to us nor are they seeing where they went wrong- the point that we told them about- the forseeable problem. Get someone in there with convictions. Conservative ones a plus. But someone who could fight BHO and the Dems with more (as much we would have taken) power than that with which he fought the Republicans in the primary.
The fraud was taken into account with that plea.
You can’t unseat him with fraud charges and hav four years of a good presidency. And with whom? Biden? Pelosi? Hillary? Axelrod? Mooch? Rahm Emmanuel? Holder?
Romney? He ran off the stage so fast I got whiplash just watching.
You sat at home didn’t you?
You ripped Romney at every opportunity while he was our candidate didn’t you?
You are still attacking him.
Well you got who you played for.
That is the big question. From the highbrow proclamations of the principled voters, you would think they are pleased that the socialists are running amok.
Here’s the latest analysis from the pollster who was most correct about the election.
http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/23/pennsylvania-could-be-a-path-forward-for-g-o-p/
This is not impossible considering that only 4% of blacks overall voted for Romney and the ghetto percentage is less. So one percent (4 out of 400) is probably about all Romney could expect.
You are still attacking him.
That’s because you are slobbering all over him. It is disgusting. He lost. Deal with it and next time don’t pick someone you love but someone you hopefully share your values...unless you do share his values....God only knows you could be the most liberal person by your behavior.
Think of it this way. Even if Romney would have gotten the 4% black vote in those precincts, that would have been 16 votes per 400 voters times about 200 precincts or a couple hundred more votes in Cleveland as a whole. Made no practical difference to this election. The way to fix it in the future is to stop subsidizing the ghetto.
Your continued sniping at the fellow only hurts our brand.
Dems circle the wagons.
Folks like you call for circular firing squads.
This is why we lost Senate seats too.
Was Romney perfect? Hell No!
Was he head an shoulders over Obama? Hell Yes!
Yes ... but no one with clout is willing to put their retirement on the line.
“The young, skull full of mush, lady parts voters with their breast implants and popeye tattoos made up the difference with their demands for free condoms and birth control pills. The Little Princess vote.”
Yes, Obama planned on the votes of the young. He knows that he will have to cut Medicare further than the billions he has taken from Medicare already and ration healthcare. Obama will have an ally in those further cuts in this same large segment of young people in sending off granny with a sleeping pill.

Jenkins: None Dare Call It Default
A nicer term for what’s about to sock the middle class is ‘entitlement reform.’
.....
A few years ago, when the economy was humming, a common estimate held that federal taxes would have to rise 50% immediately to fully fund entitlement programs. Today, a 50% tax increase would be needed just to meet the government’s current spending, never mind its future obligations.
One way or another, then, entitlements will be cut. Don’t call it default. The correct term is entitlement reform.
You saw this day coming and saved for your own retirement. Don’t call it default when Washington inevitably confiscates some of your savings, say, by raising taxes on dividends and capital gains. Taxpayers accept the risk of future tax hikes that may make the decision to save seem foolish in retrospect.
...........
Which brings us to President Obama. He knows cuts are necessary but seeks to position Democrats politically as the defender of all spending. Notice that, with ObamaCare, he is deliberately creating a constituency of the young to set against the old in future fights over the allocation of federal health care dollars....

Not if it wakes people up and admit that we f’ed up by picking a horrible candidate TWICE. If we continue to say that Romney was groovy then God forbid it will happen again and we will get stuck with another loser. Isn’t twice enough???? Aren’t you embarrassed? Don’t you feel that we made mistakes?
I actually believe 100 percent is possible in these cess-pools. Yep, the election was based on a few dozen urban areas in the entire nation...urban areas that do not even look like ‘America’, as they much more resemble the third world.
Agreed, and Romney was the anointed prince of the beltway GOP.
Once the primary is over I support our candidate, and frankly I thought Romney performed better than we could have expected.
I disagree with lots of legislation that was passed in Ma, but don’t hold Romney personally liable for all that legislation.
He took a lot of the extreme liberal stuff out, as in the Ma AWB.
It’s a horrible law that did not fit the nation and would have been much worse for Ma gun owners had Romney not worked to protect gun owners from the extreme liberals in Ma.
Romneycare is what Ma wanted and is constitutional at the STATE level.
States are laboratories of legislation.
What is Unconstitutional IMHO is Obamacare at the Federal level.
Justice Roberts disagrees with me but Romney thought it was unconstitutional too.
