If the lunkheads who cast votes for the Libertarian had voted for Mia Love, she would have won the election on November 6th. What is it about the Libertarians that they can’t even support a bonafide conservative candidate?

“What is it about the Libertarians that they can’t even support a bonafide conservative candidate?”

Their problem is that they capitalize the L. If they were merely libertarian, they could vote for the conservative Republican with whom they agree on most important issues and thus defeat the “moderate” Democrat with whom they agree on very little. But by being Libertarian (with an upper-case L), they throw their vote away by voting for someone with no chance of winning, thus allowing the Democrat to be reelected.

The saddest part is that if there wasn’t a Libertarian Party candidate on the ballot, many of those voters would have voted for the Democrat because they disagree with the conservative Republican on a couple of issues.

She ran against an incumbent Democrat. To lose by jus 768 votes is heartbreaking.

Yup, losing by 768 votes sucks. And it is just above the margin needed to get a recount (0.2%, which would be 488 votes). http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/politics/55316623-90/absentee-ballots-county-election.html.csp

Provisional votes are from people who showed up at the wrong polling place, who messed up their ballot, etc. - which is why they almost invariably favor the Democrat candidate.”””

Who came from another stte & used an address that is a vacant lot.

Hye money spent in Michigan was not wasted. Is it the fault of the people in the rural areas did not have enough votes to override the city of Detroit and various big demoncratic areas.

Dan Benishek won in the US (MI) 1st House of Representative. Mi has voter ID and voters must be registered by October 8, 2012

What the money spent in Florida was not able to offset the fraud? what about the fraud in Ohio ? Pennsylvania fraud too?

So Utah is a republican state. What happened that Romney did not get a whole whopping support of the Mormon vote.

How much money is to spent in Utah, Florida, Wisconsin and many other states for the GOP candidate.

Look Romney was a candidate that the establishment GOP wanted to win. Romney did not have the conservative vote as much as he thought he had.

I know of people whom voted in every category except for the president - they could not vote for a mormon.

It is unfortunate that Colonel Allen West lost. maybe Mia Love might win yet.

But as a conservative it is time to focus on how to deal with the problems at the local level so in 2016 the conservatives can win. Wisconsin and other states need to have voter ids in place same day voting registration needs to be stuffed in the garbage. What about Florida’s votioblems, maybe it is time the state of florida get its act together regarding voting.

Pie in the sky was the GOP had a RHINO running for president whom outspent and committed every fraudulent means to get reelected.

The GOP did not have a great candidate to begin with. It is unfortunate that there was collateral damage Michigan Hoekstra lost for the Senate to Democratic Stabenow. In Wisconsin Thompson (Rhino) lost to Tammy baldwin. Oddly enough Ryan won resoundly for his sea.

To continually say the GOP should have spent more money in guaranteed wins. In politics is there any guarantee?

If it is found that there is a vote already cast under her name, the provisional ballot gets tossed. We “think” that (hopefully) she received one in the mail and didn’t recognize it. She changed her name at the DMV and they updated her voter records. The (without her knowledge or permission) put her as a permanent by mail early voter, which she totally did not want or approve. She was told that they were trying to move as many people onto early voting rolls as possible.

I will be notifying our local talk show people, etc.
BTW... she is 1/2 black, 1/2 hispanic and total conservative. So is her sister. We are working on her father...

Fagethson wins by 738 votes.

It’s Utah, couldn’t WE steal one for once?

Parker/Love/West REMATCH REMATCH REMATCH. Lesbians, Salt Lake City libs and Rats named Murphy have no place in Congress.

I hate those Dem congressional Murphys. They rise out of primordial ooze every two years to run against and defeat Republican incumbents in evenly divided districts. We got rid of two of them in 2010, but the CT Murphy held on, and this year the CT Murphy won a Senate seat while a new FL Murphy (with the same name as the PA Murphy defeated two years ago) beat West in FL-18. If I could get rid of either RAT Kennedys or RAT Murphys from Congress, I’d let those inbred, gargantuan-toothed drunkards stick around and send the Murphys packing.

And I agree, rematches for all three black conservative Republicans narrowly defeated this year. I still have Senate aspirations for West (I wanted him to jump into the Senate race against Bill Nelson even before the redistricting map came out), but there won’t be a seat available until, at the earliest, 2016 (and then only if Marco Rubio forgoes reelection to run for president).

Mia Love will be a Senator someday as well, hopefully in 2018 when Hatch retires; I hope that having served only two terms in the House instead of three terms won’t hurt her chances or cause her to defer to Jason Chaffetz.

But you’re not a Democrat running against a Republican congressman in a marginal district.

in the alternate universe, I am a DEM running against GOP in marginal land. After I get elect, my voting record drifts rightward, til the lefties start screaming “primary!!!”

I get on the ballot with CT’s “Independent Party” in case I lose the primary. Do the GOPers dual-endorse me? If I lose the primary ... if it looks close, do I abandon that effort and run in the GOP primary?

Of course, this would be a DEM leaning seat, not a swing district, so the GOP would probably be happy to have me switch. I am so duplicitous, phony, and treacherous. Yes, I am Murphy!

Well, so far, none of the post-2005 Dem Murphys have shown any sign of veering right, but a man can dream, right? : )
