...the electors... will meet on the Monday after the second Wednesday in December. That is when the actual re-election of the president occurs.
According to the 12th Amendment, for the Electoral College to be able to select the president, it must have a quorum of two-thirds of the states voting. If enough states refuse to participate, the Electoral College will not have a quorum... then the responsibility for selecting the president and vice president devolves to the Congress.
The House of Representatives selects the president and the Senate selects the vice president. Since the Republicans hold a majority in the House, presumably they would vote for Mitt Romney...

Wing Nut Daily encourages the Right to waste its time and spin its wheels by living in a silly fantasy world.
It’s not true. The quorum requirement applies to the vote in the House.
I have emailed this list to everybody I can think of- until I’m exhausted.
If only FReepers would do the same.
How long can they ignore us if we bury them in an avalanche of emails, mail, phone calls?
LOL... never will this happen.
If we had a GOP with stones and talent, Obama would have been taken out of office a long time ago.
Not only that, but Romney will be denied the nomination at the convention. /s
Thanks Rytwyng.
You are right! Republicans have a lack of testosterone and will never have the balls it takes to win consistantly.
12th Amendment
Amendment XII
The electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate;—The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;—the person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President. The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
I think they better re read it!
So basically create a media sensation making the GOP look like sore losers. Sore, petty losers with emphasis on “loser” is nothing ?
If there is clear and convincing evidence massive, strategically implemented fraud stole our constitutionally protected votes in the Electoral College of course it should be presented. I’m holding my breath, but not for long.
It's mortifying. These loons are making the rest of us here -- on a site Jim has spent over a decade establishing as sober and credible -- look like the political equivalent of tinfoil-topped 9/11 truthers.
Actually there are more than half of the States are red states. This could happen but I don’t have much hope.
Mount a campaign to start hanging these bastards and then we can talk.
It's time for war. Screw them!
Most conservatives are looking forward to how we can win the hearts and minds of the electorate, rather than trying to spin wild fantasies of overturning elections.
Excellent graphics!
This is pure fantasy. It’s never going to happen.
All the wishful thinking in the world isn’t going to make Mitt Romney the President. In the meantime, wasting time and energy on this nonsense just makes conservatives look ridiculous, and looking ridiculous doesn’t help our cause at all.
Obama sucks. I get it. I think he sucks too. But, the election is over. Was there vote fraud? Maybe, probably, who knows, and more importantly, does it really matter? (In a practical sense) If Mitt Romney thought he had a realistic chance of changing the results of the election, doesn’t it stand to reason that a guy who has been running for President for six years would try to do something about that?
I agree.
Never happen. Romney and the GOP Establishment wouldn’t do this in a million years. Romney hasn’t even uttered a peep about all the blatant voter fraud, which would have been a much more obvious route to take if he wanted to contest the election.
Too late now.
Why wait till everyone is as poor as the 0b0tt0mized are now?

Aren’t the “electors” required to vote the way the states voted? There are democrat electors and republican electors. If some of the democrat electors switched their vote, it would work.
