BOSTON (AP) — Gov. Deval Patrick wants to allow some illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition rates to attend Massachusetts state colleges and universities.

A senior administration official tells The Associated Press that Patrick will send a letter to the state Board of Higher Education on Monday instructing schools to grant the resident tuition rate to illegal immigrants who obtain a work permit through a new federal program instituted by President Barack Obama.

Nice gesture to help "immigrants" as the title states. The first paragraph must be incorrect because rewarding "illegal immigrants" in such a manner would be foolish even for Barry and Lil Barry. /sarc.

AP should be listed as the source, not Boston Globe (my error).

Does the article point out that the tuition is paid for by the residents?
College tuition is one big income redistribution scheme. A clever trick to get the “haves” to pay the tuition for the “have-nots” without them realizing it.
Everything with these people is about redistribution of wealth.

The legislature’s will is indifferent to the Tyrant.

And they will ignore it, beginning a local pattern
following the DC model.

The cost gets passed onto the liberal residents of Mass anyway so I am all for it ! I hope they keep adding and adding until those liberals don't have a penny to pinch.

Everything looks good when someone else’s money is paying for it.

Glad I live in a state where we have a state constitutional amendment that we can only spend what we take in.
