Susan Rice will not be nominated for Secretary of State

After the 9/11/2012 murders of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya, the Obama Administration was in full covereup mode. They required that someone go on five 9/16/2012 Sunday talk shows to make the case that our diplomats had died because of a YouTube video and not a terrorist attack.

The Administration did not want to pick an individual familiar with any aspect of Benghazi. He or she would have been subjected to challenging questioning (?) beginning with, "What did you know and when did you know it?"

So United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice was trotted out. Her relatively clean hands allowed her to present a false narrative and get away with it. Today, anyone with a lick of sense knows that she (however innocent) was the carrier of the YouTube lie.

President Obama will not even nominate Susan Rice for the position of Secretary of State for the simple reason that at the confirmation hearing, she would be grilled under oath about who briefed her (provided her with the YouTube lie) before her Sunday talk show appearances, the exact conditions of the briefing, and the extent to which she suspected that she had been chosen to propagate a lie. Her testimony would at the very least juice the scandal by sparking interest in the names of the officials who provided her with the lie and the names of the superiors who approved it.

She has been floated as a possible Secretary of State to give the President the opportunity to tar her critics as racists and sexists and to conceal the fact that she will not be nominated.

Recess appt possible.

If he does nominate her, Rice will lie under oath and then he’ll extend exec privilege to anyone who could possibly refute her lie.

We are dealing w Chicago, and people need to relinquish every hope of civilized behavior.

I am told, by good sources, that post-election Wall Street and K Street money is running thru 1600 like a sewer.

The position of SOS has become nothing by PC symbolism. Since Madeline Albright, there has been no substance in the job.

Beg to differ - Maddie managed a over a million horrific deaths in Yugoslavia and Rwanda, and Hillary's lit the entire Middle East on fire to the brink of Armageddon.

You think these things happen on their own? What' you're looking at here is a level of Wille zur Macht that takes a lifetime of dedication to achieve.

Credit where credit's due.

Susan Rice will not be nominated for Secretary of State

Obamacare will be found unconstitutional
Fast and Furious will lead to Obama's impeachment
Obama will lose in 2012
Obama will lose by a landslide
Benghazi will sink Obama

Why do we keep getting our hopes up? Obama is the uber Teflon president. Nothing sticks to him. Whatever he wants the GOP will eventually give it to him.

Actually most of the deaths in Rwanda and in the former Yugoslavia took place when Warren Christopher was Secretary of State, during Clinton's first term. The Kosovo crisis came to a head during Albright's time in office, but that involved far fewer deaths than in the 1992 to 1995 period. The deaths in Rwanda far outnumbered those in former Yugoslavia. The people most to blame are the actual killers, but Clinton was the one outsider who might have been able to stop the genocide before it started. I would blame him rather than the lackey he put in as SOS.

On The Journal Editorial Report they discussed Susan Rice and seemed to think the Democrats would rally to her defense if she is nominated. That is contrary to the column by Dana Milbank (which appeared after the JER was taped, I think). Milbank thinks Rice has a lot of enemies on the Democratic side.
