It is impossible to know whether an armed criminal is running away, or simple running to a position to shoot at you from. For this reason, shooting at a armed criminal is usually justified, no matter in what direction they are running.

This story is fishy
HE shot at them as he was running away, and THEN the home ran into the house to get his gun and then came back to shoot him?
Wasn’t he halfway down the block by then?
Not that I minds- I am sorry he only hit a leg

“Officials with the Magoffin County Sheriffs Office quickly located Caldwell and took him to the hospital for his injur(y).”
Only thing that bugs me about this story. Why should the police have to double as an ambulance service?

This is the right that the left wants desperately to take away from us. In the leftist world view, the “downtrodden” “oppressed” person should just march right in and take whatever is “rightfully” his.
