That’s easy to believe. The unions have always been geared towards keeping the idiots in a job. I really don’t think it used to be that way, many years ago. But the unions time is over. If everyone employed within a company did their jobs, didn’t goof off, steal from the company, didn’t call in sick to go out on a pretty day, didn’t use excuses like “my alarm didn’t go off” imho there would never be a need for unions. They think it’s ok be a pain at work because the ownners are “fat cats” anyway and can afford it. Unfortunately, when lots of employees feel the same way, it can shut a business down.

My husband has to deal with theft by union employees and an out-of-control shop steward who cannot be fired. 20 years ago, the union workers were fine. Not perfect, but decent human beings who did their jobs uncomplainingly.

How times change.
